After denouncing a bipartisan deal that would impose new U.S. border restrictions, Donald Trump called America “pathetic” when claiming police and border patrol were not “allowed to do their work.”
Last month, Rolling Stone reported that Trump wanted to kill the Biden-endorsed immigration reform package and privately grumbled to his advisers that in supporting the proposed legislation, “stupid” Republicans could be handing Biden a major victory in the race for presidency.

On Wednesday’s “Late Night,” Seth Meyers criticized the “right-wing ghouls” who are acting like America’s depressing and chaotic pullout from Afghanistan is entirely President Joe Biden’s fault, and not the cumulative, probably inevitable result of 20 years of decisions made by both Democrats and Republicans.
Former President Donald Trump – whose administration negotiated an exit deal with the Taliban – has predictably taken his criticism of Biden too far. He’s gone past saying Biden is doing a bad job and he would have handled the withdrawal better into praising the Taliban for their fighting and negotiating skills.
This made Meyers paraphrase dril. “You don’t have to give the Taliban credit for anything — they’re the Taliban!” Meyers said. “It’s especially insane to call them ‘good negotiators,’ like they’re trying to talk down a used-car salesman.”

“Every day we’re on the ground is another day that we know Isis-K seeking to target the airport and attack both U.S. and allied forces and innocent civilians,” President Joe Biden said Tuesday from the White House, throwing new urgency and specter into the American withdrawal from now Taliban-ruled Afghanistan.
Calling Isis-k the foe of the Taliban as much as America, and sending many pundits prattling in a new chorus, Biden seemed to be working out a new rationale in real time for sticking to his decision to exit America’s longest war.
“We are currently on pace to finish by August the 31st,” Biden said in a 12-minute speech as both the State Department and Pentagon canceled their respective afternoon briefings. “The sooner we finish, the better. Each day of operations brings added risk to our troops.”

Kabul, Dec 7 (Ians) Peace negotiators from the Afghan government and the Taliban held their second meeting about the agenda of the talks in Doha following their first over the weekend, the media reported.
Sunday's meeting came after the two sides agreed on procedural rules for the negotiations, a development that broke the deadlock and created hope for the peace process that is seen as the only way forward to end the decades of conflicts in Afghanistan, Tolo News reprted.
So far, the details of the meetings have not been made public by the two sides, but both sides have expressed optimism about moving forward to finalize the agenda of the talks.
"It is expected that lists of demands from the two sides are prepared and that the talks will be conducted based on that agenda," said Ghulam Farooq Majroh, a member of the negotiating team of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
