Jan David Frouman is a 20-year veteran of the media and entertainment industry, with numerous executive producer credits, and significant experience across television production, broadcasting, distribution, acquisitions and private equity.
Frouman is the President of The North Road Company, a leading independent content studio founded by Peter Chernin with up to $800 million in financing from private equity firms Providence Equity Partners and Apollo. Prior to joining North Road, Frouman was the President of Westbrook International Holdings, a subsidiary of Westbrook Inc., a cross-platform media company founded by Will and Jada-Pinkett Smith, with activities across film, TV, digital media, and branded content. Frouman ran the company's portfolio of businesses outside the US and served as CEO of Telepool GmbH, a leading film and TV distribution and production company headquartered in Munich, Germany.
Prior to joining Telepool and Westbrook, Frouman spent 15 years at ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE, including three years as a Member of the Executive Board, where he was responsible for the company's portfolio of TV channels across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In addition to his Executive Board role, Frouman was the founder, Chairman & CEO of Red Arrow Studios, a ProSiebenSat.1 subsidiary and leading independent content studio with 20 production companies and 2 global distribution assets.
Previously, Frouman was a Director at Saban Capital Group, a media-focused private equity firm in Los Angeles. In 2003, Frouman was a member of the Saban transaction team that led and executed the acquisition of ProsiebenSat.1.
