- Growing up I wanted to become a psychologist, but found myself devoting more time to theatre. They both had to do with communication, but theatre for me at that age was an especially liberating form of communication and expression.
- The purpose of relationship is to magnify the beauty of the human experience and act mutually as catalysts to increasing growth in one another. This is the requisite of relationship for me in any dynamic; friend, lover or family.
- Find people in history to admire. Try to think and feel how they thought and felt. Surround yourself with people you admire and respect. Find ways to contribute to what is important to them. Have the courage to let go of relationships that are not mutually catalytic to increasing depth.
- I've been deeply inspired by the works of many authors... Alan Watts, Ken Wilber, Kahlil Gibran, Martin Luther King, Joseph Campbell, William Blake, James Baldwin, Paulo Coehlo, Paul Ferrini, F.W. Schelling, Shunryu Suzuki, Ramana Maharshi - my deepest gratitude is for the writing of these minds.
- Jim Whitmore, beyond being an actor I admire and respect, is a friend and mentor. He wakes at the crack of dawn and swims every day. And look at his life, it's vibrant and full.
