Allen Iverson is one of the NBA’s most revered figures from the early-to-mid 2000s, thanks partly to his miraculous run to the NBA Finals with his Philadelphia 76ers back in 2001. Unfortunately for Iverson, his sheer talent was not enough to overcome Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, and the Los Angeles Lakers. Still, the ride was one of the most memorable championship pursuits in modern history. NBA TV will premiere a new documentary on that Sixers team titled “Everything But the Chip: the 2001 76ers” on Wednesday, May 31 at 8 p.m. Et. You can watch NBA TV with a subscription to Sling TV. You can also watch with Directv Stream, Fubo, or YouTube TV.

Television producer Jill Blackstone, whose credits include The Jerry Springer Show, Divorce Court and Family Court with Judge Penny, will now face a real-life courtroom situation. The Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations-Valley Bureau Homicide Detectives, along with the Baltimore Police Department, have arrested her for murder.
According to Lapd, on March 14, 2015, Jill Blackstone drugged her sister Wendy Blackstone and placed her in the garage of their North Hollywood residence along with three pet dogs. Jill Blackstone then allegedly set the garage on fire, killing Wendy and two of the dogs, staging it as an accident.
Homicide detectives believe the motive was Jill’s frustration at being forced to provide Wendy long-term care, as well as the associated financial hardship.
Later in March 2018, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office filed murder and animal cruelty charges and issued a warrant for Jill Blackstone. Homicide detectives were notified by her attorney...

Given the success of Pirates of the Caribbean, other pirate films were expected to come roaring onto screens but surprisingly few have gotten out of development. The first to actually make it to the cameras may be the DreamWorks production of Blackbeard, a biopic of Edward Teach. Mania is reporting that Bourne Supremacy director Paul Greengrass is likely to sign on to direct.
The screenplay is by David Franzoni (Amistad) which Variety has reported would take a more real world view of buccaneers complete with their treacherous ways. Pat Croce, who wrote Pirate Soul, about the 1690-1730 era, was on board along with producer Barry Josephson.
According to Mania, the plot goes something like this: “Edward Teach is in the employ of Britain’s royal navy and fought for the queen in the War of Spanish Succession. During that time he had a protégé who served with him as his first mate.

IMG and Mike Tollin Prods. have formed a joint venture to create a league around the action sport slamball, with plans to find a network to televise the competitions.
Slamball, which was televised on Spike TV for two seasons in 2002-03, was created by Mason Gordon. It's touted as the "first action team sport," a full-contact competition pitting two teams against each other on a court that features four trampolines and basketball-style nets.
Former Philadelphia 76ers president Pat Croce will serve as the league's commissioner, with athletes and coaches being trained at Florida-based IMG Academies starting in April. The plan is to feature 64 players and 16 coaches playing in a single-venue season starting in June, with eight franchises playing in U.S. cities next year.
Discussions are under way with broadcast partners to expand the league and air competitions in the U.S. and globally.
"This project leverages our expertise in entertainment with our capabilities in athletic training and sports production and distribution to create a multiplatform slamball league with the potential to attract a worldwide audience," said Chris Albrecht, the former HBO topper who became head of global media at IMG in September.

Motivational speaker Pat Croce will be moving into people's homes to help sort out domestic problems in a new syndicated TV show called Pat Croce: Moving In, which is being developed by Sony Pictures Television with producers Barry Josephson and Arthur Smith. The half-hour daily strip will find Croce, the former president and owner of the Philadelphia 76ers, helping families deal with life issues and problems in a dynamic and inspiring manner, said Russ Krasnoff, president of programming and production at SPT. Families desiring interventions from Croce will agree to have television cameras installed in their homes, with round-the-clock video surveillance intended to document behaviors that require attention. Croce will then move in with the family and help them work through obstacles and challenges, using his unique motivational strategies. The series will be shot entirely on location and will make use of a specially retrofitted luxury motor coach as a mobile studio for Croce and the production team.
