to a student who is involved in athletics, demonstrates strong
leadership skills and contributes to student life.
The TSN-Dr. Randy Gregg Award is given by Canadian Interuniversity
Sport to the player who best exhibits outstanding achievement in
community service, academic achievement and athletic excellence.
Daughter Jessica was a member of Canada's Women's short track speed skating team which won the silver medal in the 3000 m relay at the 2010 Winter Oympics. Her mother represented Canada in speed skating at the 1976 and 1980 Winter Oympics.
Defenseman with the Edmonton Oilers (1982-1990) and Vancouver Canucks (1991-1992).
Inducted into the University of Alberta Sports Wall of Fame in 1983 (inaugural class).
