- Colbrunn's brother, Randall, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for attacking a Halloween trick-or-treater in 1999. Colbrunn, who was allegedly high on methamphetamine at the time, later told authorities he thought the boy and his two companions were bugs trying to invade his home. The boy is permanently brain damaged with developmental problems and partial paralysis. (11 June 2002)
