Below Deck Med: Peter Hunziker's Racist Post Controversy Explained
Image
Peter "Pete" Hunziker was a deckhand on Below Deck Mediterranean season 5 but was immediately cut from the show after a racist post resurfaced online. Those who've watched the season may remember Peter as a bit of a misogynist, as he always believed he was the best on the deck team since he was the lead deckhand. The bosun at the time, Malia White, quickly caught on to Peter's disrespect and immediately demoted him from lead to regular deckhand, replacing him with fan favorite Below Deck Med cast member Alex Radcliffe.

Before Peter was let go by Bravo, he made a few inappropriate comments toward the women onboard. He would constantly refer to Malia as a "sweetheart," which she didn't appreciate, seeing as she was the boss and he was below her in terms of yacht rankings. Peter was also creepy toward Second Stew turned Chief Steward Bugsy Drake by uncomfortably hitting on her.

Below Deck (2013)
Did Below Deck Season 11 break the crew turnover record?
Below Deck (2013)
Did Below Deck Season 11 break the crew turnover record? That’s a question on some Below Deck fans’ minds, as only two episodes remain in the season.

As Monsters and Critics previously reported, Captain Kerry Titheradge talked about the high crew turnover, indicating the season might be record-breaking.

Chief stew Fraser Olender and bosun Ben Willoughby have also addressed the hot topic, alluding to familiar faces returning and several crew members going home.

However, as the final chapter begins, we can’t help but wonder about what all three Below Deck stars have said.

After all, only three people are left on Below Deck Season 11, and a familiar face has yet to join the St. David crew.

Here’s what we know about the Below Deck Season 11 crew turnover.

Did Below Deck Season 11 break the crew turnover record?

No, Season 11 of Below Deck did not break any records, but it...

Below Deck Mediterranean's Captain Sandy Reveals Whether She'd Work With Hannah Ferrier Again
Below Deck (2013)
You better shape up or ship out. For an exclusive chat with E! News, Below Deck Mediterranean's Captain Sandy Yawn opened up about this season's turnover rate, including the firing of Hannah Ferrier. As Below Deck Med fans may recall, season five has featured second stewardess Lara Flumiani quitting The Wellington and the firings of chef Kiko Lorran and the show's longtime Chief Stewardess. However, as Captain Sandy noted to E!, that's completely normal for the yachting industry. "Imagine walking in my shoes, it was challenging," the Bravo personality said of the staffing drama this season. "The Maritime industry has a certain standard…My number one priority is the...

Below Deck Mediterranean's Bugsy Drake Details Unaired Last Conversation With Hannah Ferrier
Hannah Ferrier
Christine "Bugsy" Drake may've been promoted to Chief Stewardess following Hannah Ferrier's firing, but there's no bad blood between the two Below Deck Mediterranean stars. The new season five Chief Stew made this very point during an exclusive chat with E! News. As Bravo viewers may recall, last week, Hannah said bon voyage to The Wellington after being fired by Captain Sandy Yawn over undeclared Valium and a CBD pen. Thus, the Below Deck Med season two alum, who joined season five as a replacement second Stew after Lara Flumiani jumped ship, was promoted to head of the interior team. And while Below Deck Med fans were shocked by the change in management, Bugsy revealed that she was equally...

Lara Flumiani
Lara Flumiani is Mia. In this exclusive clip from Monday's all-new Below Deck Mediterranean, chief stewardess Hannah Ferrier struggles to locate the Italian stewardess under two hours out from their next charter. As the two have already butted heads, Hannah is understandably panicked as she can't find Lara anywhere on The Wellington. "Where's Lara?" the chief stew asks Lara's bunkmate . "I don't know," Jessica More responds. This response rattles Hannah, who asks Jessica to clarify her comment. "I don't know, I just saw you come up," the 3rd stewardess explains. "I thought maybe you guys were talking." After Hannah says she...
