For the D’Amelio family, a lot has happened in the past 12 months.
Last year, mother Heidi D’Amelio and her younger daughter Charli D’Amelio competed on Dancing With The Stars, with Charli becoming the first TikTok creator to win the ABC competition series. The whole family, including father Marc D’Amelio and older daughter Dixie D’Amelio, worked together to launch their own footwear brand. There was even a time when it looked like Marc would buy TikTok to save it from a U.S. ban.
So yeah, this internet-famous family has a few things going on. If you’re struggling to keep up with all the news coming out of the D’Amelio household, their Hulu series will be able to fill you in. Season three of The D’Amelio Show will explore the titular family’s interpersonal dynamics, busy schedules, and romantic relationships when it premiers on September 20.

Turns out Marc D’Amelio isn’t buying TikTok after all.
Back in March, the father of TikTok stars Charli and Dixie D’Amelio said that, due to TikTok’s continuing struggles with the U.S. government over its Beijing-based owner, ByteDance, he would put together a group of (presumably American) investors for a joint bid to buy the platform.
But those plans have fizzled, D’Amelio said onstage The Information’s Creator Economy Summit this week.
“It’s very expensive,” D’Amelio told Information reporter Kaya Yurieff. He went on to say that the family has “raised a lot of money for D’Amelio Brands” and that it does “[have] the connections” to raise money for a TikTok buy.
He didn’t say why, with all those connections and all that money apparently at his beck and call, he opted not to offer up a bid. We’re guessing it has something to...

If ByteDance wants to continue operating TikTok in the United States, it may need to divest its popular video app. If it does, it may be able to put TikTok in the hands of its creative community. Marc D’Amelio, the father of short-form stars Charli D’Amelio and Dixie D’Amelio, has revealed that he plans to put together a group of investors who will make a joint bid for TikTok ownership.
The father of two TikTok-famous D’Amelios announced his acquisition plans on Twitter. He and his family have been very active as investors in the creator economy. Charli D’Amelio has backed companies like Step, and the whole clan is involved in Vc firm 444 Capital, which is looking to spend $25 million on categories like “the direct-to-consumer space, fintech, edtech, healthcare, insurtech and other B2B2C platforms.”
I am putting together a group of investors to pursue the purchase of TikTok.

Hulu has renewed The D’Amelio Show for a ten-episode third season. The second season premiered on September 28 and all 10 episodes are now streaming on Hulu.
Season two followed the family — Marc D’Amelio, Heidi D’Amelio, Dixie D’Amelio, Charli D’Amelio — as they dealt with public relationships, private struggles, new pursuits, and “unfathomable pressure and scrutiny,” says Hulu. Daughters Dixie and Charli struggle to separate their own self-love and identity from their online presence. Marc and Heidi parent in uncharted territory, as they try to protect their family from new pitfalls at every turn.
It can’t be all that bad: Charli D’Amelio just won Dancing with the Stars. Her ma got to dance, too!
The D’Amelio Show is executive produced by Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman on behalf of The Intellectual Property Corporation (Ipc), a part of Sony Pictures Television, with showrunner Sara Reddy executive producing.

Charli and Dixie D'Amelio might be roommates, partners in social media superstardom, and reality TV costars now, but things weren't always so rosy between the sisters. On the latest episode of "The Drew Barrymore Show," Dixie revealed that she and Charli "hated each other, like absolutely hated each other" as kids.
According to the social media star, the pair truly didn't get along throughout "all of middle school until we got into high school together." But as they grew older, the siblings became close. "We became best friends; she would come with me to every party on the weekend," Dixie said in the Oct. 5 interview. "It just happened out of nowhere, though. Like, we would go weeks without talking," she said. "Now I don't remember the last time we actually argued over anything."
Today, the pair are much closer. "We live together just us two, so it's pretty fun," Charli said.
