Uorfi Javed made a memorable entrance on Splitsvilla 14 as the Queen Bee, bringing a whirlwind of drama and excitement to the reality show. From her fiery arguments with Sakshi Dwivedi to her romantic moments with Kashish Thakur, Urfi Javed was the center of attention throughout her stay on the show.
In a recent interview, Uorfi Javed reflected on her time on Splitsvilla, revealing that she had intentionally sought to bring drama to the show. “I wanted to fight because I found it boring, and I wanted some drama,” she admitted. “I didn’t know it would escalate to that level, but it happened.”
Despite the controversies, Uorfi Javed formed strong bonds with some of her co-contestants, including Kashish Thakur, with whom she shared a romantic connection. “I liked him a lot, and I thought he was amazing and funny,” she said. “He’s shy, which is different from my outgoing nature,...

Believe it or not, there was a time when studio executives were worried that John Travolta didn't have enough of the "it factor" to make it as a Hollywood leading man. He had a background in theater and was doing well on television, but in the 1970s, television and cinema were two entirely different worlds and actors didn't often jump between the mediums the way they do now. There were TV stars and there were movie stars, and never the twain shall meet. Well, maybe not never but it certainly wasn't common. And yet it was his TV star status that helped him land one of his breakout film roles.
During an interview with Journey To The Center Of The Cinema, casting director Harriet B. Helberg found it hilarious that Travolta arrived for his audition during his lunch break working on the TV comedy "Welcome Back, Kotter," still in his...

[This story contains spoilers from the fourth episode of Feud: Capote vs. the Swans, “It’s Impossible.”]
For Diane Lane, the entire premise of Feud: Capote vs. the Swans is full of complexity and layers.
As the FX series depicts the fallout from Truman Capote’s “La Côte Basque” — a chapter from his unfinished novel, Answered Prayers, that was excerpted in Esquire‘s November 1975 issue that caused a giant rift between the acclaimed writer and his “Swans” — the actress can’t help but notice the irony that she’s playing socialite Slim Keith, one of the Swans that was outraged by Capote’s thinly veiled portrait of the elite milieu in which she was a part. “I imagine them sitting on a sofa, enjoying champagne and popcorn, and having the last laugh on all of us,” says Lane, who laughs at the meta nature of the show’s depictions of the secrets, lies and gossip shared between Keith’s wealthy cohort.

This article contains spoilers for "Mean Girls."
The 2024 movie musical reimagining of "Mean Girls" restores a missing puzzle piece in the original film. Penned by Tina Fey and directed by Mark Waters, the original "Mean Girls" is a cautionary tale about the corrosive effects of cliques. Having grown up homeschooled, Cady (Lindsay Lohan) is figuring out how to survive in the jungle of a Chicago public high school. She befriends two outcasts, Janis (Lizzy Caplan) and Damian (Daniel Franzese), who recruit her to infiltrate the Plastics, a pink-clad clique of popular girls ruled by Queen Bee Regina George (Rachel McAdams). Cady finds herself allured by Regina's seemingly titanic confidence -- that is, until Regina steals Cady's crush, locking the two teens in a vicious cycle of revenge.
Eventually, these incidents come to a boil when Regina is accidentally hit by a bus. When a recuperating Regina attends the Spring Fling,...

1999 was the apex of teen girl cinema, with over a dozen new releases now hailed in "girl world" as seminal classics. But that year also brought the financial juggernaut of "American Pie," and Hollywood realized that there was serious money to be made with boy-centered sex comedies. Pair that with the horrific tragedy at Columbine High School, and suddenly problems like a boy pretending to like you for a payday felt frivolous, and edgier fare felt too dangerous to be entertaining. Teen girl movies didn't outright disappear, but they certainly fell out of popularity and became niche, "chick flick" fare more than ever. The genre has never fully recovered and continues to fight for respect and relevance 25 years later. Fortunately, there have been culture-shifting pop cultural juggernauts that remind Hollywood (and society at large) that teen girls are and will forever be the true tastemakers.

Viewers took to social media to express their confusion and consternation after the first trailer for Mean Girls—the new film adaptation of the stage musical adaptation of the beloved 2004 film—dropped in November with no singing at all. Many wondered if this was just an ordinary remake for a new teen generation. After all, the tagline is “This is not your mother’s Mean Girls.” More than just aggrieved musical theater fans questioned whether producers were ashamed to let audiences know that this was indeed a movie musical.
The good news is that this Mean Girls proudly wears that genre like a homecoming crown, as the embrace of storytelling through song and dance is front and center. That was to be expected, as the musicalization of Mean Girls was largely a success back in 2018 when it opened on Broadway, and in large part because Tina Fey’s book for...

Throughout season 18, Robyn takes a passive approach to the drama within the Brown family, but fans see her actions differently. They claim her “emotionally manipulative” behavior is the neck that turns Kody’s head.
Robyn Brown appears to be one of the least-liked members of the ‘Sister Wives’ cast: here’s why
Regular viewers of Sister Wives have spent the better part of 18 seasons dissecting Robyn Brown’s behavior on the TLC series. However, she has never come under a microscope more than this past season.
