Survivor fans nearly saw another player quit the game, this time because he seemingly felt guilty for the chaos he caused ahead of the Tribal Council.
But was he trying to quit or using a strategy? Host Jeff Probst weighed in on Q Burdette’s nutty behavior and had an interesting take on what he saw in Fiji.
As a reminder, a new episode aired on April 17 that featured a shocking moment at the Tribal Council. While discussions about the upcoming vote were taking place, Q interrupted and suggested everyone vote him out.
He was feeling emotional about a recent conversation with Hunter McKnight and how he had revealed too much about plans that were in place for the elimination vote.
Q had first pressed for Tiffany Ervin to be voted out when he suspected Tiffany of turning against his six-person alliance. And when the vote shifted to Tevin Davis being the target,...

Survivor host Jeff Probst is about to give fans what they want.
Castaways quitting the show in recent seasons have irked some viewers.
The sentiment is that someone who quits has taken away a spot from someone who might have been better at the game.
People quit for various reasons during the first 44 seasons, but Survivor 45 featured two people from the same tribe quitting in the first few episodes.
Hannah Rose quit at the very first Tribal Council of Survivor 45. It changed the game because someone else was about to get voted out.
Just six days after Hannah quit, Sean Edwards also quit Survivor 45. They each began on the same tribe (Lulu), continuing a negative trend for that tribe.

On Wednesday’s fourth episode of “Survivor 45,” Jeff Probst ushered in the first tribe swap of the new era by redistributing new buffs to the 15 players still in the game. As a result, the three-time losers of Lulu were split apart, each going to a different beach. One of them, Sean Edwards, found new life at the Reba beach, but still lost his fourth straight challenge … and then asked to be voted out. Read on for Sean’s “Survivor 45” exit interview from the end of the episode.
Blindsided by his tribe at the previous Tribal Council, Sean was left outside of the numbers at original Lulu with Kaleb Gebrewold and Emily Flippen having a majority vote over him. Post-swap, Sean picked a red buff alongside four players that kept their red buffs, forming a formidable old Reba blockade that would be tough for him to crack. Ultimately, Sean believed that...

If you were confused by the vote at the end of the fourth episode of “Survivor 45,” you’re not alone. This week, members of the new Reba tribe visited tribal council for the first time — that is, all of them but Sean Edwards, who had lost every single immunity challenge up to that point. But even after Sean announced his decision to quit and return home to his husband, the votes didn’t go according to plan. Sean received three of the five votes, while Dee Valladares received one and Nicholas “Sifu” Alsup received one. Huh?
As a voted-out Sean was standing up to give his goodbye hugs, Sifu appeared visibly confused. “Who voted for Sifu?” he wondered aloud. “Did you vote for me?” he asked Sean, who responded with a quick, “No.” When Sean brought his torch up to Jeff Probst to be snuffed, Sifu was seen whispering, “Wow.

What a difference two episodes can make; so far in “Survivor 45,” two tight allies turned on each other, an unlikely pair emerged as a power duo, a player went from the bottom to a major deciding position, and there are new types of advantages and creative ways to retrieve idols. Let’s break down Episode 3, titled “No Man Left Behind,” and the latest from “Survivor 45” as we are about to head into our first tribe swap of the new era.
Starting with the Belo tribe, much has changed within the social dynamics with some cracks in the women’s alliance of Katurah Topps, Kellie Nalbandian and Kendra McQuarrie, with Kendra bonding with Jake O’Kane, and Kellie forming a connection with Brando Meyer, with the latter duo claiming to be in the middle deciding whether to go with the alliance of the men or the women, since Jake is also very close with Bruce Perreault.

On Wednesday’s second episode of “Survivor 45,” the Lulu tribe continued their fall into early despair with a second straight immunity challenge loss, sending them straight back to Tribal Council. This time they were not faced with a quitter, but instead two players who couldn’t vote and a majority of three deciding who between Brandon Conlon and Emily Flippen they’d send home. When the choice became Brandon, he went out with a smile and advice for everyone at home to “come do this.” Read on for Brandon’s “Survivor 45” exit interview from the end of the episode.
Brandon’s struggles in the game began in the premiere episode when he suffered a panic attack during the first reward challenge. His inability to perform on a physical level caused him to commit to his tribe that he’s good at puzzles, but by the end of the second cycle...

One of the most talked-about contestants from the “Survivor 45” season premiere was Emily Flippen of the Lulu tribe. The 28-year-old investment analyst from Maryland decided to audition for the CBS reality TV show because she got “really angry” when Mike Gabler won “Survivor 43.” Now it’s Emily who’s causing some fans’ blood to boil at home. The villainess made headlines in the first episode for the way she went after Bruce Perreault on Day 1, and for falsely accusing her tribe mates Kaleb Gebrewold and Sabiyah Broderick of lying about losing the “Sweat and Savvy” challenge.
The second episode, which airs Wednesday, October 4 on CBS, will focus more on Emily as she admits her game is “do or die right now.” Below, watch the “Survivor 45” preview video for “Brought a Bazooka to a Tea Party,” in which Emily decides to go on an idol hunt on Day 4.

Truth time: ‘Survivor 45’ began in messy fashion, with clashing personalities and an unexpected quit
“Survivor” is back again with its 45th season and 18 new contestants. For the first time in the history of the reality TV show, there will be 90-minute episodes throughout the entire season. That gives viewers more character game moments and tribe dynamics, which last week’s premiere delivered in messy fashion, with many clashing personalities and an unexpected quit at the end. As the three tribes form and the alliances begin on “Survivor 45,” read on as we break down the game and the hour and a half premiere.
Starting with the Belo tribe, there is the return of Bruce Perreault from last season after being medically evacuated 12 hours into the game. Wednesday night on CBS, Jeff Probst officially lit the torch on the 45th season of “Survivor.” Just like all of the “new era” cycles, this year’s crop of 18 contestants have been divided into three tribes and come from diverse backgrounds and walks of life. “Survivor 45” contestant Sean Edwards is asking the important questions as he heads to Fiji: “Is there such a thing as loyalty when it comes to Survivor?” But the 35 year old school principal from Utah is mostly just excited to be part of the show that inspired him to live more openly. Watch their full CBS interview below.
Sean describes trying “everything to live a faithful Mormon, straight lifestyle” before making the “decision to live as a proud gay man.” He says the choice to live authentically is “when the world really opened up for” him and now bring “diversity, equity and inclusion into [his] community” as an elementary school leader. He says that living in the “conservative environment” of Utah has taught him “grit and mental tenacity” and “those are the attributes that you need to have on ‘Survivor’ to be successful.”

Get ready for new episodes of “The F-List,” the hilarious webseries created by self-proclaimed struggling actors Beth Triffon and Sean Edwards. Today’s new episode, “Fake It ‘til You Make It, Part 1,” will be the series’ fourth installment, following three episodes that have collectively earned over 50,000 views. The series follows the trials and triumphs (more often the trials) of Bobby (Edwards) and Gracie (Triffon), two wannabe Hollywood actors trying to raise their status from F- to A-list. From auditioning for a cayenne chicken commercial (despite a deathly allergy to cayenne) to sneaking into a B-list actor’s birthday party, these two F-listers show viewers the harsh realities of finding success in modern Hollywood. “We wanted to create ‘The F-List’ so every person who is living in, working in or simply dreaming about Hollywood could come and laugh at the heart-breaking yet always-inspiring life they’ve chosen,” Triffon said in a statement.
