If you want tickets to watch Tfi Friday's anniversary special don't expect it to be easy, as you're going to have to "earn it".
As part of a daily countdown to the event by host Chris Evans, the BBC Radio 2 DJ said that he is already being bombarded with requests for tickets for next month's one-off celebration.
Evans said: "We're going to give 184 pairs out, and then we want one couple... from each of the Tfi Fridays that were broadcast to be there on the night, so we have all the Tfi Fridays there sort of in spirit with us.
"And then we have 50 pairs left... and if you want a pair, you have to earn it."
With just the vague instruction to "go film something in 15 seconds", people can email their finished result to contact@tfifriday.com, in the hope of being chosen for tickets.

Eight-piece boybands, middle-aged men dressed as Egyptians getting honey rubbed on their chests, Louis Walsh being... Louis Walsh. Yes, this series of X Factor might not have been the most thrilling, but even in a non-vintage year, there has been plenty to laugh at and enjoy.
This evening's final features Fleur East, Ben Haenow and Andrea Faustini battling for the prize of a record contract and the chance to hit the charts in time for Christmas. All the betting and polls seem to suggest that it's a one-horse race with Fleur running away with it, but The X Factor has thrown up surprises in the past, so nothing can be ruled out.

The romantic smash that perfectly blends wit, wit, wit with Wet Wet Wet stars Hugh Grant as a confirmed bachelor whose ideas about commitment change when he meets American beauty Andie MacDowell. With a champagne cast (Kristen Scott Thomas, Simon Callow, John Hannah, and the late Charlotte Coleman) throwing writer Richard Curtis's wonderfully colourful dialogue around like confetti, it's a truly happy occasion.

Thirty five years ago my world was well and truly rocked by what has become one of the best loved and successful concept albums of all time, Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of the War of the Worlds. I was introduced to Wayne's magnum opus when one of my junior school teachers took it upon himself to play us one side of the long playing record (no CDs in those days) in each of his lessons for four consecutive days and then getting us to talk about what we'd heard and translate this into our own words and pictures.
Wayne managed to rock my world once again when he finally brought the concept to life on stage in 2006 at London's Royal Albert Hall, a show that I'll never forget as he conducted a live band and orchestra accompanied by stunning visuals which included...

Back in the '80s and '90s, it wasn't uncommon to see a tune lifted from a popular movie soundtrack become a colossal hit and spend many glorious weeks atop the singles charts. Whitney Houston did it, Celine Dion did it. Heck, even Bryan Adams managed it thanks to his link with Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves!
For reasons unknown to us, this phenomenon doesn't seem to happen anymore. This hasn't stopped some fairly prominent contemporary artists from trying, though. Britney Spears has a song on The Smurfs 2, Jessie J is doing Kick-Ass 2 and Lana Del Rey crooned all over The Great Gatsby.
Digital Spy has shuffled through our movie soundtrack playlist to revisit some of the big tunes, and see who stands up and who falls down years on.

London — The structure is simple, the guitar riffs basic, the lyrics at best inane, but the Troggs' "Wild Thing" remains a garage rock classic more than 45 years after its release made The Troggs and lead singer Reg Presley international stars.
Presley, whose raunchy, suggestive voice powers this paean to teenage lust, died Monday after a year-long struggle with lung cancer that had forced him and the band into reluctant retirement, his agent Keith Altham announced on Facebook late Monday night. He was 71.
"My dear old pal Reg Presley of The Troggs died today," he said, calling Presley "one very real person in a sometimes very unreal world." He said the singer had suffered a number of strokes recently and died at his home in Andover (70 miles west of London) surrounded by his family and friends.

When Jeff Wayne released his The War of the Worlds album in 1978, the winds of fashion were not behind him. In a musical era defined by post-punk's minimalism and deconstructionism, a sprawling concept album based on a Victorian novel about a Martian invasion of Earth appeared a gargantuan folly.
The British public were not concerned with such critical niceties, and The War of the Worlds became a commercial phenomenon, taking root in the album chart for more than five years. Wayne has frequently returned to his rock opera, this year rerecording the album and producing this "next generation" tour.
His musical adaptation of Hg Wells's 1898 sci-fi classic has not aged particularly well, largely because it seemed slightly silly even a third of a century ago. However, this time-capsule missive from the era of Star Wars, Alien and Close Encounters of the Third Kind has acquired an engaging retro-futurist sheen.

If Only Fools And Horses had started in the 21st century, it wouldn't have lasted for more than two series.
Let me explain. Back in the early 1980s, a brand new sitcom was written by John Sullivan, charting the misadventures of a wayward Peckham family, the Trotters. Three generations were spanned in a poky flat, which was part of Nelson Mandela House. The problem was that, when it first went out in 1981, the ratings were deemed to be on the low side. A second series went ahead, but even then, the ratings were not deemed world-shattering. If that had happened today, the show would have been axed quicker than you could shout “Mange Tout!” That's the price you pay for being with a ratings-hungry broadcaster, full of media-savvy trendies with buzzwords and balance sheets.
But luckily, a repeat season was to prove to be Only Fools And Horses' salvation. This time around,...

“My missus is a huge fan of Marti. She fancies all the older men.”

Wet Wet Wet star Graeme Clark has quit the band after 28 years. The bass player informed fans of the news in a post on his Twitter.com page on Saturday, July 17, revealing he has decided to leave the Scottish pop group to focus on other projects.
Clark, who has battled depression and drug problems in recent years, founded the band in 1982 with Marti Pellow, Tommy Cunningham and Neil Mitchell and helped write some of their biggest hits. In a post on his Twitter.com, page, he writes, "After a lot of soul searching (I) have decided to leave Wet Wet Wet. It has been an amazing journey - but it's time to turn the corner into another road."
The next day, Graeme Clark posted another message on the micro-blogging site. He kept it short in the tweet which is apparently addressed to his fans, only writing "humbled, thank-you all xx.

Wet Wet Wet's rocker Neil Mitchell has been ordered to attend domestic violence classes after pleading guilty to assaulting his girlfriend during an altercation in 2009. The Scottish keyboard player was arrested and charged with causing actual bodily harm in July last year, following an alcohol-fueled argument at Olivia Warren's home in Fulham, south-west London.
He initially pleaded not guilty to the count, but subsequently changed his plea in May this year, just hours before he was due to stand trial for the offense. Mitchell, 44, returned to Kingston Crown Court in Surrey, England on Monday, June 14, and the disgraced star used the opportunity to express his apologies via his lawyer, Jill Evans.
She told the court, "He accepts that he punched a woman in the face and that is something that he is deeply ashamed of." Judge Shani Barnes sentenced Mitchell to a two-year community order and ordered him to...

Witches Of Eastwick Set For TV
The Witches Of Eastwick is to be turned into a TV series in the U.S. - more than 20 years after it hit the big screen.
Bosses at Network ABC are developing the project, which is based on John Updike's novel about three women who turn to witchcraft after losing the men in their life.
In the 1987 movie, Jack Nicholson starred as the devil-like character who seduced the females, played by Cher, Susan Sarandon and Michelle Pfeiffer.
It's the third attempt to take the story to the small screen, after unsuccessful pilots in 1992 and 2002.
The Witches of Eastwick was also turned into a musical by theatre impresario Sir Cameron Mackintosh. A new revival, starring former Wet Wet Wet frontman Marti Pellow, opens in Edinburgh, Scotland this month.
