PinkPantheress first created buzz with snippets of her work on TikTok and then dazzled audiences with songs like the Mura Masa-produced “Just For Me” and “Break It Off, with Adam F.
On her debut EP “To Hell With It,” the U.K. artist creates trancelike choruses and —true to her TikTok roots—most of the tracks never stray much plas the 2-minute-mark.
Rolling Stone recently caught up with PinkPantheress at Lollapalooza where we asked her about her new EP, her first U.S. festival appearance, and escaping the confines of genre labels in music.

For years, the truism ran that drum and bass, despite pockets of true believers across the nation, would, in America, remain a specialty taste within electronic music, never mind pop. But, over the past few years, the genre has risen sharply in visibility, both in the U.S. and globally. Some of this is due to TikTok, where artists like the young British vocalist PinkPantheress — who sampled Adam F’s drum-and-bass classic “Circles” for her viral hit “Break It Off” — and piri, whose sprightly, slinky liquid D&b single “soft...

Last week it was announced that Zachary Levi would be taking on the role of Earth's Mightiest Mortal in director Adam F. Sandberg's upcoming DC film Shazam! I think he's going to be great in the role. I know a lot of people are worried he's not muscular enough, but come on... that's what Hollywood trainers are for. If Chris Pratt can do it, anyone can!
Anyway, today we have a couple of cool pieces of fan art that shows us what Levi might look like in the role. The piece above was created by Datrinti and the one below was created by BossLogic. Zachary Levi also has made his first comments in regards to playing the character. This is what he posted on Instagram:
“Honored and greatly humbled to be a part of the #dcuniverse by bringing the original Captain Marvel to life. I am beside myself with gratitude,...

Director Adam F. Sandberg and Warner Bros. has cast Chuck star Zachary Levi as Earth's Mightest Mortal in Shazam! That's right, the actor will be taking on the title role, and honestly... he seems like a fantastic choice! It's not hard to imagine him playing Shazam at all.
Levi is a fun actor and this will be his biggest movie role to date. It was previously rumored that John Cena (Trainwreck, Bumblebee) and Joshua Sasse (Galavant, No Tomorrow) were up for the role, and I think they made the right decision in casting Levi. He's just got that boyish charm and personality that I enjoy about Shazam. The more I think about it, the more I think he's going to fit the character perfectly.
Based on the DC Comics character “Shazam!” Billy Batson becomes Captain Marvel, the world’s mightiest mortal, when he says the magic word “Shazam! The name...

The lawsuit brought against Alan Thicke‘s widow by the late actor’s two eldest sons has been dismissed.
Tanya Callau‘s attorney, Adam F. Streisand, confirmed to People on Thursday that the petition filed against her in May by brothers Brennan and Robin Thicke — in which they claimed that Callau alleged that the prenuptial agreement she signed ahead of marrying Alan in 2005 is invalid — was tossed out.
“I am thrilled that I was able to get this bogus lawsuit thrown out of court for Tanya, whose only sin was that she loved her husband and has suffered grievously since losing him,...

Months before his death, Alan Thicke received an ominous warning about his heart.
The late Growing Pains star died Dec. 13 at age 69 after collapsing while playing hockey with his youngest son, Carter. His cause of death was later revealed to be from a “ruptured aorta” and a “standard type A aortic dissection,” according to his official death certificate obtained by People.
Prior to his passing, the actor and his wife Tanya (Callau) Thicke filmed an episode of Hollywood Medium with Tyler Henry, set to air on Wednesday. In a sneak peek at the episode shared (and later removed) by E!

Alan Thicks’s sons dreams of becoming marijuana barons went up in smoke, leading to a nasty legal battle with their father’s widow. Or at least, that’s what her lawyer claimed Friday. In a statement to People, Tanya Callau’s attorney, Adam F. Streisand, said that the “Growing Pains” star’s offspring sought to turn Thicke’s Carpinteria, California, ranch into a “massive pot plantation” — and when Callau shot the idea own, they filed a “bogus lawsuit” against her. Alan Thicke‘s widow is alleging that her late husband’s sons are attempting to “bully” her with the recent petition they filed against her.
In an exclusive statement to People on Friday via her attorney, Tanya Callau is claiming that the Growing Pains actor’s sons — Brennan Thicke and chart-topping singer, Robin Thicke — previously propositioned her about turning Alan’s Carpinteria, California, ranch into a marijuana plantation, and filed Tuesday’s petition against her out of retaliation when she declined.

So I definitely ticked one of my life boxes this week by spending some time with the legendary Mr Samuel L Jackson. Big Sam was in town promoting a charity that he's an ambassador for called One For The Boys - a men's cancer charity highlighting the importance of checking yourself.
On Friday, my wife Rochelle and I were invited to see Take That on tour. You know what? You have to hand it to Gary, Mark and Howard, they really know how to put on a show - or should I say a spectacle. Also, you know you have had some serious hits when a show that is over two hours long just flies by. Big shout out to Gary for inviting us down, we absolutely loved it, top man!
Sunday it was of course all about the Vodafone Big Top 40. All eyes once again were on the number one spot.

"The hanging was the best show in town."
Though considered classics today, Clint Eastwood's early spaghetti westerns were initially panned by critics who complained about the movies' "dopey" plots and Eastwood's "wooden" acting. It wasn't until Eastwood returned to America to star in Hang 'em High that he started to receive any recognition for his portrayal of dusty anti-heroes. Co-produced with United Artists (UA) by Eastwood's newly-established production company, Malpaso Productions , and shot on location in New Mexico, Hang 'em High received overwhelmingly favorable reviews and had the largest opening at the box office of any previous UA movie.
Hang 'em High finds Eastwood playing Jed Cooper, an innocent man who survives being lynched by a posse convinced that he is a murderer and cattle rustler. After being found innocent by regional judge Adam Fenton (Pat Hingle) — loosely based on real-life "Hanging Judge" Isaac Parker — Cooper accepts Fenton's offer to become a marshal.

This month has been one of the best that I can remember for trailers. All the studios were desperate for their trailer to get released before the Christmas holidays and we were inundated with posts. Since I love trailers so much, the inundation was most welcome. In what I am considering making a monthly post, here’s a roundup of all the trailers so far for December which I have embedded below for your viewing pleasure!
I’ve embedded them in the order in which they were released start December 1st to 31st and if I miss any, please let me know and I’ll update the post.
I really want this to be intereactive so make sure you tell us which trailers you liked the best and which you think will be great or terrible movies from what you’ve seen! So, let’s go!

Cuckoo made some film festival showing in 2009, after the film was completed. Now in 2010, the film will go theatrical in the United Kingdom. Have a look at the trailer below from Verve Picures, courtesy of Film-Book.com
The synopsis for Cuckoo is here:
"Polly is desperate to get out of her dead-end life. But when she has the chance to escape, her nearest and dearest have other ideas.

Release Date: December 17th (UK Only).
Director/writer: Richard Bracewell.
Cast: Laura Fraser, Richard E. Grant, Antonia Bernath, Adam F., and Tamsin Greig.

Ok, here’s the really surprising thing: Aliens In The Attic isn’t entirely awful.
Since it didn’t press screen in New York (always an omen suggesting someone at the studio has perceived quality control issues), I rushed to the very first theatrical unspooling at 10:30 a.m. Friday on 42nd Street and paid my money to be among the first in my neighborhood to see today’s Sf comedy. It was a little too early for hot buttered popcorn but the air conditioning was nice. The seat was comfy. There was a good amount of legroom. And then the movie.
Briefly, four aliens not from this Earth have landed—on the roof and then into the attic of a summer rental mansion—as vanguard to a massive force from the planet Zirconia (or was it Zirconium, I’m confused) that will be invading by the picture’s end.
