Ahmad Ebrahimi is a filmmaker from Afghanistan began his career behind the camera over a decade ago, starting as a TV content producer for some of Afghanistan's major stations like TOLO TV, as Production Coordinator for multitude of television commercials with FKH media, before moving on to directing and producing his own shorts.
Having sought asylum on the Greek island of Lesvos, Ahmad, as a refugee artist and activist, feels strongly about sharing the voices of asylum seekers in podcasts, photos and movies. He showcased his images of Lesvos's squalid Moria camp in galleries across Europe. His short film "Lucky Vulnerable" on the refugee plight in Moria camp won the Cine15 Film Festival. Ahmad worked as the co-producer, cinematographer and director on the Award-winning feature-length documentary "Citizens of Moria" about his life in Moria refugee camp, with Blue Sky Production.
Ahmad has worked closely with Mijke de Jong on the movie "Along the Way" as collaborating writer and second director assistant, as a member of the casting team on the second season of "Tehran" funded by Apple TV, and the film "Exodus", directed by Abbe Hassan.
