Akita Agnes Opio was born March 19 1983 to Anthony and Hellen Opio in Kampala, Uganda, to Ugandan Parents Anthony Opio and Hellen Opio. Her father is an auditor and her mother is a business woman. She is the fifth born in a family of nine children.
Graduated from Makerere University with a Bachelor of Arts in Tourism in 2009.
On leaving the university, her first job was as a front desk officer in a company called Afroplast Enterprises Limited in 2009
She soon quit the job when Anne Kansiime reffered her to Fasttrack Productions Ltd who were then shooting The Hostel (2011). She was then given a trial and sailed through where she started acting as Arach, who was Odoch's girlfriend. She acted for three seasons of the series between 2010 and 2013.
She got another job as a Reservations Officer with Leotoria Safaris between 2012 and 2013 in between her acting schedule. In 2013 she became pregnant and gave birth to her second born, Brianna. Because of this, she had to leave both her job and acting to concentrate on taking care of her child.
In 2014, she started doing Stand-up comedy. Having acted with Anne Kansiime and Daniel Omara, they saw funny side of her and convinced her to try Stand-up comedy. She debuted her Stand-up career with the Punchliners.

In 2018, she joined Fun Factory in another sitcom called Mizigo Express. Here, she acted as Sam's (Hannington Bugingo) girlfriend.
In 2019 she co-founded a charity organisation called Arise Woman Foundation which hosted Arise Woman! Comedy Jam on International Women's Day in 2019
