At the 1980, 1984 and 1988 Olympics, Dryden was a TV hockey
commentator. He has taught at the University of Toronto and worked in
the Ministry of Education. He has written a number of books that were
bestsellers: The Game and Home Game on the subject of hockey and In
School on the subject of education.
Calder Memorial Trophy (1972), Conn Smythe Trophy (1971), First
All-Star Team Goalie (1973, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979), Second All-Star
Team Goalie (1972) and Vezina Trophy (1973, 1976, 1977, 1978,
1979).
Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1983.
Played goalie for the Montreal Canadians (1970-1979).
Attended Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. The Big Red's Goalie
from 1966-1969: 3 East Coast Athletic Conference Championships, 3 Ivy
League Championships, and the 1967 National Championship team.
