We know this thanks to a recent tweet from the developer’s narrative animator, Kim Newman, who’s recently been snapped wearing a full motion-capture suit. As you can see below, it’s pretty clear what she’s teasing in the pic:

Sony has debuted a new curator system for PlayStation Network which allows gamers everywhere to view the recommendations of some of the industry's great creative minds.
This new program, dubbed The Creators, is now available for PlayStation Network users in select regions. If you are not in one of the currently available regions, you can still view the content of this latest update via the PlayStation website.
In many ways, The Creators echoes Steam's curator system. Both are built around the idea of finding new games based on the recommendations of others and both allow you to purchase said games directly from the recommendation pages.

By the time that Gran Turismo Sport releases in 2017, it’ll have been four years since we last stepped into the driver’s seat of the popular franchise. While we didn’t get a firm release date today at PlayStation Experience 2016, Sony did bring us new footage from Polyphony Digital’s upcoming racer, and it’s looking pretty damn impressive.
Introduced by Sce Worldwide Studios head Shuhei Yoshida, the PSX16 trailer for Gran Turismo Sport is a sight to behold. Showcasing footage from around the world, we get to see races across a variety of tracks. Everything from uneven dirt roads to smooth stadium paving is rendered in gorgeous 4K Hdr. The series has always been easy on the eyes, but this is on another level.
Besides showcasing how the racer will look on the PS4 Pro, we also got a glimpse at the PlayStation Vr support for the title.

The radio silence is over. Developer Hello Games has announced that a substantial “Foundation” update is headed to No Man’s Sky, which will add the long-requested base building mechanic.
News hails from the studio’s official blog, revealing that the major content update is designed to “put in place a foundation for things to come.” There was no mention of patch notes or a release date at the time of going to press., but we’ll keep you posted once we learn more.

In those intervening years, the adventure game was struck by a string of setbacks, during which team many feared that the studio would pull the plug altogether.
But fear not, for PlayStation boss Shuhei Yoshida brings word that there is finally – finally! – light at the end of the tunnel now that The Last Guardian has officially gone gold. In layman’s terms, this indicates that principal development on the title has officially wrapped as manufacturers begin pressing Tlg onto physical discs. Essentially, barring any day-one patches and/or Dlc, Team Ico’s journey is almost at an end.

In another blow to No Man’s Sky‘s post-launch reception, developer Hello Games and the studio’s figurehead, Sean Murray, the Advertising Standards Authority (Asa) watchdog has confirmed that it is currently investigating the title after receiving “several complaints” in regards to misleading advertising.
Confirming the investigation to Eurogamer, an Asa representative said that while no explicit details surrounding the case can be shared due to it being currently ongoing, it’s No Man’s Sky‘s Steam store page rather than the developer itself that’s currently being scrutinized.
Assuming any of the claims are held up, the Asa is entitled to have any offending adverts removed from public display for an indeterminate amount of time or even permanently. Failure to comply to with any ruling could result in sanctions, including having advertising assets removed from internet search engines.

A whole bunch of copies of the upcoming PlayStation 4 video game “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” were stolen as they were being shipped to retailers, Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida announced on Wednesday. Despite previous statements from Sony president Shuhei Yoshida that the company “wasn’t looking to make a profit” with PlayStation Vr, the opposite now seems to be true, according to comments made by Sony developer relations executive Adam Boyes at last night’s reveal event for the device.
The total U-turn in stance by the globe-spanning company is interesting, to say the least, perhaps suggesting that Sony had originally priced the device lower than the now-confirmed $399 price.
Officially, however, Boyes told Game Informer in an interview that they’ll now be able to sell the Vr peripheral at a profit due to them being able to source high quality parts at suitable prices.
Obviously we need to make money on the unit, but we’ve been in the consumer electronics business for a long time, so our ability to source great, high quality parts is a big part of it.

Though "Uncharted" takes all the headlines and "God of War" is more well known, one of Sony's well-regarded exclusive franchises is the "Infamous" series.
All three major games released across the PS3 & PS4 have scored in the 80s on Metacritic, and "Infamous: Second Son" remains one of the PS4's strongest exclusive bright spots two years into the latest console's launch. Since the stand-alone expansion "Infamous: First Light" came out, producer Sucker Punch studios has been essentially silent with no future games announced.
This has led to the obvious question, is Sony ditching the franchise? PlayStation boss Scott Rohde tells Kinda Funny Games that there's no such plans: "We're never going to retire an IP. We're always going to be open to [making more Infamous games]. That's about the best way I can answer that."

It appears the cat may be out of the bag a little early, as Sony has announced that eight different PlayStation 2 classics will be re-released for the PlayStation 4 today. The news, which could have been being saved for today’s PlayStation Experience panel, was leaked earlier in the week.
The list of PS2 classics which will be available today, which can be seen below, cover a handful of genres. Each of the classics will run between $10 – $15, which is a little more expensive than the PS1 classics were for the PlayStation 3.

Another Sony press conference, another array of requests begging the company to implement the ability to change your ID on PlayStation Network. It’s Paris Games Week. Sony shunned Gamescom earlier in the year due to its proximity to E3, giving Microsoft the chance to fire off a few shots in the console war without reply. Now the roles are reversed and Sony gets to stand on the stage and give a conference knowing that Microsoft won’t have much of a presence to counter with. The future isn’t about to get any brighter for Playstation Vita owners if recent statements made by Sony are any indication. According to Sony Computer Entertainment Vice President Masayasu Ito, the handheld won’t be seeing any more first-party games anytime soon, if at all. Speaking with Japanese game site 4Gamer, Ito said that the system has nevertheless found a recent boost in attention from teenage players:
“At the beginning the Ps Vita did not resonate with age targets under 20,” Ito said, “but now the situation is changing and the popularity with younger demographics is increasing. Minecraft: Ps Vita Edition has provided a boost.”
That, however, doesn’t mean the Vita will be drowning in more Sony-made exclusives, but it will getting new paint-jobs.

After opting to forego a media showcase at this year’s Gamescom trade show in Cologne, Germany, it appears Sony is primed and ready to make up for lost time. The success of Until Dawn – a game in which the player controls a group of teenagers as they’re being terrorized by a serial killer – has surprised many with its success, not least of all Sony and its president – Shuhei Yoshida. Speaking in an interview with Eurogamer, Yoshida described the game’s success as similar to that of a ‘sleeper hit.’

Until this year’s E3 fired up its engines and kicked off in full splendor, many considered Sony’s The Last Guardian to be nothing more than vaporware; a piece of software that was never anything more than a tech demo to show off the power of the PlayStation 3.

Don’t hold your breath for a new Killzone or inFamous game on PlayStation Vita. Featuring towering, mechanized dinosaurs, Guerrilla’s latest wowed the PlayStation faithful during Sony’s E3 presser yesterday evening, promising a beautiful open-world within which players can train and hunt the cyborg beasts. What makes Zero Dawn so special, though, is its intriguing set-up. Relegating humanity back to the caves, the PS4 exclusive will see mankind scavenging for resources in the far future, one where nature has completely reclaimed the once-powerful cityscapes that dominated the skyline.

Featuring towering, mechanized dinosaurs, Guerrilla’s latest wowed the PlayStation faithful during Sony’s E3 presser yesterday evening, promising a beautiful open-world within which players can train and hunt the cyborg beasts. What makes Zero Dawn so special, though, is its intriguing set-up. Relegating humanity back to the caves, the PS4 exclusive will see mankind scavenging for resources in the far future, one where nature has completely reclaimed the once-powerful cityscapes that dominated the skyline.

To say that an update on The Last Guardian, Team Ico’s long-gestating adventure title, was overdue may be the understatement of the year, but opening Sony’s E3 press conference this evening was an all-new, slightly surreal trailer for the revamped game. PlayStation’s prodigal son has returned.
Mind you, The Last Guardian‘s re-reveal had been on the cards for some time, with rumors piquing the interest of the four corners of the Internet over the past few months. Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida himself acknowledged the almost unbearable wait for the title’s return, and praised Fumito Ueda’s unyielding commitment to delivering an experience like no other.

Just when you thought it was safe to venture back into Yharnam, Sony has announced plans to release a Bloodborne expansion, with more information about the post-launch Dlc slated for later this year.
News comes via Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida, who took to his own personal Twitter account to make the announcement after a string of fan queries relating to the game’s expansion plans.

In hindsight, not only did Hideo Kojima and Konami’s eerie tech demo P.T. prove to be one of the most intriguing trojan horse-styled announcements in years, the title also proved to be one of 2014’s most terrifying video game experiences. On the one-year anniversary of unveiling its virtual reality headset, Sony confirmed that the release window for its revised Project Morpheus has been set as the first half of 2016.
Alongside the announcement, the Japanese giant unveiled a new prototype model that is reportedly much closer to what Sony wants with the final, consumer-ready build. Morpheus 2.0 now sports an Oled display running at 1920 x Rgb x 1080, which minimises motion blur. Latency has also been addressed thanks to the device’s new-fangled 120 hz refresh rate, creating a 5.7 inch display that allows for a 100 degree field of view.
According to Sony, these refinements were a direct result of community feedback, with Shuhei Yoshida, President of World Wide Studios, stating that:

IGN’s in-depth Bloodborne video series continues today with a new behind-the-scenes look at From Software’s forthcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive.
Narrated by Head of External Development Masami Yamamoto, the footage gives us some insight at the legacy lurking behind From’s Victorian-themed RPG, and how the collaboration with Sony spawned from the groundbreaking reception of Demon’s Souls in 2009.
We started this project because we had been hoping to create a new game with Miyazaki-san and From Software since the success of Demon’s Souls in Japan and other regions. Usually, developers come to us with their ideas to start a new project. Bloodborne was a bit of a special case, as we had a strong desire to work with Miyazaki-san, we brought the idea to From Software.
As fans of the Souls series are already well aware, From’s beloved franchise gained its status thanks to an old-school approach to game design.

Given how long The Last Guardian has been lingering in development, Sony has been forced to continually renew the trademark for the long-gestating title with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. However, yesterday brought news that the Japanese publisher decided against renewing the filing on this most recent instance, but Sony confirmed to GameSpot that this hiccup was the cause of an internal administrative error, and that Team Ico’s by-now infamous game is still in the works.
The publisher didn’t disclose any additional information at this time, simply reiterating that The Last Guardian — a game that has allegedly flirted with cancellation in the past — is still on course for a release at some point in the near future.

Ah, 2009. The year Barack Obama was inaugurated as president, and the year Avatar dominated the box-office. It was also the year when Sony officially announced The Last Guardian - designer and director Fumito Ueda's follow-up to Ico and Shadow Of The Colossus.
For many who played them, Ico and Shadow Of The Colossus were little short of unforgettable. Ico was a platform-puzzler which took place in a lonely, echoing citadel, where a young boy guided a spectral girl through a maze of trapped rooms and corridors. Shadow Of The Colossus was even more ambitious, with its mysterious giants pushing the hardware capabilities of the PlayStation 2 to their limits.
Neither game was a huge financial success, but both have had a huge impact on the industry. Various "are games art?...

By now, the indefinite hiatus surrounding Team Ico’s The Last Guardian has become a bit of a recurring joke in the industry. Having initially unveiled the action-adventure title all the way back in 2009, where it was pegged as a PlayStation 3 exclusive, now, esteemed game creator Fumito Ueda has hinted that the long-gestating game is being reworked with PlayStation 4 in mind.
Speaking to Dengeki PlayStation (via Kotaku), Ueda touched upon the trials and tribulations that the development team have overcome, and how The Last Guardian is now making headway “under new conditions.”

During yesterday’s pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference, Sony outed a brand new entry in the Hot Shots Golf franchise for its PlayStation 4 console. We now have video footage of that reveal, as well a tiny bit of translated dialogue, thanks to the electronics giant itself.
Speaking at the event, Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida promised viewers and attendees that Hot Shots Golf on PS4 will offer “open world entertainment focusing on golf.” Going further, the presenter also mentioned that the series’ cute visual style will be front and centre, once again.
Little is known about this next instalment in the popular action-sports series, and we apparently won’t hear anything more until springtime rolls around.
