Amazon Prime Video’s original series is a spin off of the ever gross and ever popular series The Boys which itself is based on a comic series of the same name. Gen V is just as bloody and disgusting as the show it originated from, and the trailer shows off the signature blood and gore.

In the trailer, characters from The Boys are present including Valorie Curry as Firecracker and Antony Starr as Homelander. Prime Video’s college-based spinoff of “The Boys” returns Sept. 17 with the premiere of the first three episodes, available in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. New episodes will follow weekly with the second season finale airing Wednesday, October 22.

Even with the rocky reception to Season 4, hopes and expectations are still high for Season 5, which will finally give us the dramatic showdown between Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) and Homelander (Antony Starr). But, according to the cast, there are also plenty of surprises in Season 5 that no one will be able to guess, including some grizzly deaths.

Endings. Endings. Endings. It’s not a good feeling when a show that you very much like reaches its finale. That’s where several shows and movies fail miserably, and they go from the best thing you’d ever see to the worst show in all of humanity (*cough* Game of Thrones).

Well, another show that has been doing so great so far is Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys, and that has me worried. With 4 iconic seasons to its name, the show has received worldwide fame and acclaim, and the final season is upon us. So naturally, we decided to write an article on how The Boys could screw it up (hopefully not).

The Boys can have three terrible endings

The obvious choice would be Antony Starr’s Homelander winning it all (and that would be an amazing ending), but for the sake of this article, we will be eliminating that potential ending.

The Boys has explored Homelander’s complex psyche in its four seasons, especially through his connection with his son, Ryan. Homelander is despicable, but his actions toward his son particularly highlight his darker side, which is aggravated by his own daddy issues and upbringing.

On the other hand, the spin-off series Gen V included an equally complex father figure in Polarity. The first season explored the borderline toxic relationship between Polarity and his son, Andre. Despite the misguided nature of Polairty’s concern, he is still a much better father than Homelander, and here is why.
