We have recently written that the production of the second season of Gen V was to start soon, but things have changed as of Saturday. Namely, as we have reported, Chance Perdomo (27), one of the series’ main actors, tragically died in a motorcycle accident on Saturday, which means that Gen V has lost one of its main stars. This means that the production of Gen V has been halted indefinitely, and as of this moment, it is unknown what is going to happen with the series.
Amazon and the people involved with the series first have to mourn Perdomo’s death, as the loss is certainly going to hit all those involved very hard. After that, they have another complex task, as they have to figure out what to do with Andre Anderson, who was one of the most important characters in the series.

Chance Perdomo, one of the leads on the Boys spin-off series Gen V, which streams on Prime Video, has died. According to reports, the 27-year-old actor was fatally injured in a motorcycle accident. Perdomo played Andre Anderson, one of the lead characters, who was being set up for a major arc in season two. According to Deadline, the second season will now be pushed due to the tragedy, which I’m sure hits all involved with the show quite hard.
In addition to Gen V, Perdomo also played a leading role in The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina opposite Kiernan Shipka. In a statement to the trades, the producing team behind Gen V said, “We can’t quite wrap our heads around this. For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and, more than anything else,...

Today was supposed to be a happy day for the cast and producers of Prime Video’s Gen V as they were supposed to reconvene in Toronto for the superhero series’ first Season 2 table read this afternoon ahead of the start of filming, scheduled for April 8 in the Canadian city.

There is little detail about the circumstances surrounding Perdomo’s death at age 27. Five months ago, I spoke with Chance Perdomo about the Season 1 finale of “The Boys” spinoff “Gen V,” and I could feel his excitement vibrating through the phone.
While any young star is likely to be thrilled to speak about their latest project, this interview felt palpably important to Chance, as it was the first time the 27-year-old British-American actor had been able to even promote Amazon’s “Gen V” due to his commitment to the SAG-AFTRA strike, which concluded one week after the finale aired.
Bursting with desire to get into the details about his superhero college character Andre Anderson, Perdomo paused at the start of our call to tell me he remembered the interviews I had done with him during his days starring as Ambrose Spellman in Netflix’s “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”: “God bless, thank you, love. That was four or five years ago.”

Ezra Miller is being replaced in a superhero project — but maybe not the one people were expecting.
The embattled star of The Flash has been recast in Season 2 of Prime Video’s animated superhero series Invincible. Miller played D.A. Sinclair, a genius scientist who created an army of cyborgs known as “ReAnimen,” in the freshman season, but when Sinclair appeared in this week’s Season 2 episode, he was voiced by Eric Bauza, who also does voices for Looney Tunes, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the new Disney+ series X-Men ’97. (Entertainment Weekly first reported the switch.)

Spoiler alert: This post contains plot details from the Season 1 finale of “Gen V.”
Antony Starr and Karl Urban — who star on Amazon’s Prime Video drama “The Boys” as Homelander and Billy Butcher, respectively — reprised their roles in the Season 1 finale of “Gen V.” And it turns out they were gracious enough to do it on their “day off” from filming as Homelander assists some fledgling supervillains and Billy ties the Supe virus storyline to “The Boys” Season 4.
“Of course with Homelander, we were always kicking around, ‘When do you want to see him?’ And, ‘When do you want to pull that card?’ Because it’s a rare thing, and we didn’t want to squander it,” “Gen V” showrunner Michele Fazekas told TheWrap of Starr’s cameo. “It had come up throughout the season, and then it just made sense as the sort of thing to happen in the finale.

Read on to find out how the puppet scene came together.
Warning, spoilers from Episode 5 of “Gen V” ahead.
