St. Ann’s Warehouse in Brooklyn was full of good vibes and a spirit of musical collaboration on Nov. 10, as two pairs of unique talents — Lil Yachty and Tierra Whack, and Jon Batiste and Gucci Mane — took the stage for Rolling Stone’s first-ever Musicians on Musicians live event. There was laughter, honesty, and even a couple surprise performances, including a haunting solo-piano version of a Gucci Mane hit.

After lighting up the world with her debut single, ‘If We Ever Broke Up’ – the biggest debut single globally so far this year – breakout star Mae Stephens returns with an equally infectious, sun kissed anthem entitled, ‘Mr Right’. ‘My Right’ serves up a slice of effortlessly cool, glittery disco – pop made for dancing summer nights away. On it, the 19-year-old rising star from Kettering swipes unsatisfactory men out of her life with what is quickly becoming her trademark sass as she continues her quest to find the right one for her.
The new single finds her joining forces with one of her childhood idols, Meghan Trainor, with the global superstar lending her inimitable vocals to the new track, “I am beyond honoured that Mae asked me to be a part of this song!!”

On the drive out to Coachella, you may have spotted a billboard in the desert: on the one side, a man in chunky black glasses and a perfectly-tailored suit, the other in a rainbow-patterned shirt and cylindrical leather cap. Two chrome guitars, and a giant “Go Funk Yourself” between them. No other context is needed — simply put, nobody’s doing it like the Fundlordz.

In Olivia Rodrigo’s Disney Plus film “Driving Home 2 U,” the pop star takes a road trip from Salt Lake City, Utah to Malibu, Calif., stopping at old-timey diners, abandoned-looking gas stations and desert prairies along the way. At the premiere for the film on Thursday night in Westwood, Rodrigo’s star-studded friends, members of the press and fans got to mimic that journey.
While picking up tickets at will call, each guest was handed a “Drivers License” of their own in the spirit of Rodrigo’s hit song, and directed toward the Regency Village Theater by enthusiastic event employees dressed in pastel jumpsuits adorned with “Sour” patches. The celeb sightings began just outside of the theater, where Busy Philipps and her child Birdie mingled with “Glee’s” Kevin McHale. Once inside, the Kid Laroi and girlfriend Katarina Deme lounged in the lobby while guests grabbed complimentary popcorn and sodas.

In the upcoming Disney Plus film “Driving Home 2 U,” Olivia Rodrigo takes a road trip through the desert while looking in the rearview mirror at her Grammy-nominated debut album “Sour,” which released nearly one year ago.
Driving a vintage sky blue Ford Bronco, Rodrigo travels from Salt Lake City, Utah — where she filmed her breakout part on “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” — to Malibu, Calif., stopping along the way to deliver artfully constructed and rearranged performances of 11 tracks from the triple-platinum certified album. Standouts include a fast-paced, distorted “Jealousy, Jealousy” performed under a highway overpass and a haunting orchestral rendition of hit “Good 4 U.”
With the rearrangements, Rodrigo wanted to introduce a “brand new concept” for each track to keep her supporters satisfied. “I really wanted to make this film for my fans, and especially my fans who maybe couldn’t come to my tour this go around,...

Jack Antonoff had a few special guests with his band, Bleachers, for their Saturday Night Live appearance. They included Rick Antonoff, Jack’s father, for a special turn.
Bleachers was a last-minute addition to the show when rapper Roddy Ricch had to cancel because of Covid-19 exposure. So Bleachers made sure the event was extra-special by bringing along some guests, including singer-songwriter Blu DeTiger on bass and guest keyboardist Claud.
The band performed “How Dare You Want More” off their latest album, Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night, for Antonoff’s Dad, Rick’s appearance.
Unfortunately, one special guest didn’t make it for the second song, “Chinatown,” which features Bruce Springsteen with Antonoff, who wound up singing both parts of the song.
Rick Antonoff has performed with his son at club gigs, but never anything at this level. Jack previously noted his father’s playing was a “big part” of his childhood,...

This summer, Shalfi Edu went viral without singing a note. The 25-year-old guitarist posted a video of his playing — full of flitting fingers, though the mood remains insistently tranquil — on the app TikTok, which now functions as music’s primary discovery engine. Edu added a caption out of a teen romcom, a stamp of emotion on all the casual showmanship: “You’ve hurt someone who’s hurt you. Seeing them suffer causes you pain, but you’re too angry to apologize or stop. You feel conflicted.” The clip has earned...
