Thanks to a scholarship from Edgar Bronfman, Mr. Lindsay graduated from
NYU studying film, circus, myth, acting and playwriting. Nick Lindsay's
play Dry Dock brought Stuart Rudin's Group of Actors together with
Drama Desk Award winning producer Al Ramos at the Broome Street Theater
to create the new entity Tribeca Lab. For Tribeca Lab he worked on
dozens of productions for stage, radio and film. Stage productions
include The Celebration starring Olympia Dukakis, and original stage
plays starring Jill Hennessey, Angelica Torn, Peter Green, Sharon
Angela, among others. His work on the radio show Oblique Strategies on
WBAI garnered nominations for both a National Community Radio Award and
a Community Public Radio Award. He crewed on the MTV/VH1 documentaries
about pop Icons, Michael Jackson, AC/DC, and Kid Rock and indie
features such as Desert Winds starring Heather Graham. Nick directed
the 35mm film, Life in Bed. Life in Bed is a critically acclaimed
(Aintitcool.com!) festival prizewinner and an official selection in
five competitive festivals: Santa Barbara International Film Festival,
Silver Lake Film Festival, and others. Mr. Lindsay has edited fiction
feature films and documentary feature films including Saving Manhattan
featuring Amy Poehler and the documentary features Skin in The Game;
The Life and Times of Raven Riley and Wanda the Wonderful. Nick has
authored three full-length plays, Dry Dock starring Toby Huss, Kevin
Corrigan and Jennifer Rhone, Getting a Lil' Something starring Melora
Walters and Billy Otis and Hollow Aluminum the downtown punk musical
revenge tragedy with the music of Ff and Pig Pen. He is Associate
Producer on the prize winning 16 MM fiction feature, After the
Apocalypse, an official selection at the SXSW Film Festival. Mr.
Lindsay, his wife and kids live on the family farm on a remote
semitropical island.
