'Jamerican', Kia Moses was born at Howard University Hospital, Washington D.C., USA and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, where she still resides.
After years of working as an advertising creative in New York, London and Kingston, Kia made her screenwriting and directorial debut with her first short film 'Flight' in 2018. The co-directed Jamaican short film went on to win 17 awards at film festivals worldwide, was the 2019 Diversity In Cannes winner, was selected for a special screening during the Cannes Film Festival, was one of the 5 finalists at the 2019 American Black Film Festival and now has a 2-year licensing agreement with HBO.
