Blaine Stewart was born in the Los Angeles Memorial Hospital in
downtown L.A. and grew up in north Orange County, California. At a
young age he began playing many different instruments including guitar,
sax, clarinet, piano, etc. In 1975 he entered college to study music
but found that his best talents were in audio production and music
recording. In 1978, Blaine went to work for the Osmond family on the
Donnie and Marie Show at their studio in Orem, UT. In 1986, he moved
back to his native L.A. and worked for several different post-audio
facilities as well as mixing production for shows such as Circus of the
Stars and Alf. He did both long-form and short-form sound design and
mixing for most of the major networks and film studios, including NBC,
ABC, ABC Family, Fox, Fox Family, Disney, Disney Channel, Buena Vista
Television, ESPN, Fox SportsNet, Discovery, Animal Planet, A&E, G4,
MGM, Paramount, etc. In 2000, he opened his own post-production
facility, Post Plus Sound, Inc. in Burbank, CA. In 2011, he moved PPS
to Utah and renamed it The Stewdio.
Blaine has many personal interests. He is a private pilot and falconer. He still maintains a strong music involvement and has directed various choral groups for over 30 years.
Blaine and his wife are the parents of seven children and 18 grandchildren.
