Selected by Philadelphia Phillies with third overall pick in 1990 Major
League Baseball Draft. Has played in the major leagues for the
Philadelphia Phillies (1994-present) National League All-Star in 1999
and 2000. Was the Rawlings Gold Glove winner for National League
catchers in 1999. National League Co-Comeback Player of the Year in
2002. Shared award with John Smoltz of the Atlanta Braves.
Inducted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 2016.
