Taylor Sheridan has proven one too many times that he is nothing short of a mastermind through all the brilliant decisions he took and plotlines he created for his iconic Western television series franchise. However, one of his decisions for the Kevin Costner-led Yellowstone lore just might have ended up backfiring at him had he gone forward with the idea.

As it turns out, this surprising decision was to introduce yet another member to the already thriving Dutton family, though this one would have been a mysterious addition, according to reports from the actor who claims to have scored the gig. But that idea was reportedly scrapped along with the show’s sixth season, and thankfully so.

The second half of the fifth and final season of Yellowstone will premiere next year, but that wasn’t meant to be the end of the series. The exit of Kevin Costner led Paramount to cancel Yellowstone but had the series continued to season 6, we might have seen the introduction of a long-lost Dutton brother.
Christian musician Cory Asbury told Taste of Country that he had actually been cast in Yellowstone, with the expectation that he would have been featured in season 6. “I was fired up about it and so bummed when it was canceled,” Asbury said. “So bummed.” The musician told the Dutton Rules podcast that he was “supposed to be Kayce’s long-lost brother. We were gonna move to Montana for a full year. We were ready… Anna [his wife] gave me the Ok and our kids were like, ‘Ok, cool, we’ll live in Montana.’“

Yellowstone is bowing out after the upcoming second half of Season 5, but had a sixth season gone ahead, fans could have been in for a surprise with the introduction of a fourth Dutton brother. In a new interview with Taste of Country, Christian rock musician Cory Asbury revealed that he was supposed to play Kayce Dutton’s (Luke Grimes) long-lost brother in a proposed sixth season. However, those plans went down the drain when the hit Western drama was canceled earlier this year. “I was fired up about it and so bummed when it was canceled,” Asbury told Taste of Country. “So bummed.” The singer-songwriter previously revealed the news during an Instagram Live Q&a with Dutton Rules podcast host Adison Haager, sharing, “I was supposed to be Kayce’s long-lost brother.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Taste of Country (@tasteofcountry) He said he and his...

Nearly a decade has passed since Amy Grant last released a complete solo studio album of original music. The past ten years have been littered with compilation records, holiday albums, and remastered releases of her projects dating back to the eighties. In the meantime, the Christian singer has continued touring, that is, until she sustained a concussion and brain injuries following a biking accident in July 2022, forcing her to cancel a slate of shows.
