Donatella Versace is letting everyone know that she doesn’t support the new hotel in Miami named after her.

In a statement shared on May 10, the 70-year-old fashion designer that she is not affiliated with the new Donatella Boutique Hotel & Restaurant in Miami, that is scheduled to open later this month.

Keep reading to find out more…“Let me be clear. The hotel and restaurant named ‘Donatella,’ located near the property where my brother’s life was taken, has and will never have anything to do with me or my family,” Donatella wrote on Instagram.

“To try to capitalize on our tragedy and my name for profit is disgraceful,” she added.

The new hotel, which is a Nakash and Vida & Estilo Hospitality group property, is scheduled to open on Wednesday, May 21.

The Nakash family reportedly purchased the Versace mansion in 2013 for $41.5 million, according to Women’s Wear Daily.

As of Wednesday evening, Variety can report that Met Gala videos native to Vogue’s website and YouTube channel have garnered 1.2 billion global views. Each year, the event draws big names in fashion, music and Hollywood to support the Costume Institute and gift social media platforms with days of style discourse.

The May 5 event’s night-of audience grew 109% compared to 2024. The total 1.2 billion figure accounts for replays of some of the Met’s best looks – rocked by Zendaya, Teyana Taylor, Colman Domingo and Zoe Saldana – and represents a 10% worldwide and 23% domestic boost for audience, year-over-year. 184 million minutes of the gala have been viewed on YouTube.

In a billion dollar deal that shakes up the world of luxury fashion, Prada has agreed to buy Versace from its owner Capri Holdings.

The all cash deal, valued at $1.375 billion, will merge two of the most famous Italian luxury fashion brands under one roof. It is expected to close in the second half of the year pending regulatory approvals.

Elton John says he struggled to watch his new musical because he has lost his eyesight after contracting an infection.

The singer-songwriter attended the opening night of The Devil Wears Prada in London on Sunday and told the audience that “I haven’t been able to come to many of the previews because, as you know, I have lost my eyesight.”

“So it’s hard for me to see it, but I love to hear it and, boy, it sounded good tonight,” he said.

John, 77, disclosed in September that an infection had left him “with only limited vision in one eye.” He wrote on Instagram that “I am healing, but it’s an extremely slow process, and it will take some time before sight returns to the impacted eye.”

Rudolph will play the politician through the 2024 presidential election, and this is far from the first time she has portrayed Harris. She first played the VP in 2019 during the Season 45 premiere of the NBC comedy staple and has played Harris nine times so far. That first appearance saw her join Larry David as Bernie Sanders in the “Impeachment Town Hall” segment. During that same season, Rudolph won a Primetime Emmy Award for the role in an episode hosted by Eddie Murphy with musical guest Lizzo.

The luxury fashion brand has announced the Irish actor will be the first face of the men’s Versace Icons collection. The Versace Icons campaign will be Murphy’s first for the brand and will feature the actor in “key and timeless pieces” from the men’s Icons collection, according to a press release.

“I am thrilled that Cillian is joining the Versace family,” Donatella Versace, the brand’s longstanding creative director, said in a statement.
