Guy Charnaux was born on April 7th 1990 in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. At the age of nineteen, Guy initiated his Digital Media Design studies at PUC-Rio, where he took his first steps in animation with the help of Marcos Magalhães, doing freelance work and commissioned jobs. On 2015, he graduated from Vancouver Film School's Classical Animation program. His films have been screened at more than one hundred festivals in over forty countries, including distinguished Oscar-qualifying festivals such as Annecy and Anima Mundi and on TV channels from France, Germany and Brazil as well.
Guy has also been working in the industry as a 2D animator and animation supervisor since 2015 in shows such as "Hilda" (a Netflix original), "Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" (from Nickelodeon), "Bug Diaries" (an Amazon Prime original) and "Les P'tits Diables" (a French TV show) among other projects.
He now resides in Lisbon, Portugal. His most recent film, "Business Meeting" is part of the 20th Annual Animation Show of Shows and was acclaimed by the New York Times, Chicago Reader and other newspapers and magazines as it toured the US, being displayed at studios such as Disney, DreamWorks and 20th Century Fox and companies such as Apple and Google.
