Drake got very philosophical in an Instagram video posted Wednesday after being was asked what his biggest fear is.
“I’ve never really had a good answer for it, but my answer was that all this is for nothing. Kind of the idea that like, one day life ends and it just all goes black,” the rapper explained in the video. “And I guess that question like, sent me, you know, obviously deep into a spiral of thought. And it makes me think about my life and how surreal it feels at times.”
He proceeded to reflect on a life-changing audition he had for a TV show when he was “13 or 14.”
“I go back to this day when I was like 13 or 14. I had an audition for a TV show that ultimately shaped my life and before my audition, I went to this kid’s house and I – out of,...

Nearly 10 months after HBO Max ordered a new series of “Degrassi”, the popular Canadian teen franchise, and also picked up the streaming rights for all 14 seasons of “Degrassi: The Next Generation”, Et has confirmed that reboot is no longer moving forward.
Originally eyed for a 2023 debut, the new “Degrassi” series was going to consist of 10 hour-long episodes and be run by showrunners Lara Azzopardi and Julia Cohen, with filming set to begin over the summer in Toronto.
The entire library of “Next Generation” episodes, meanwhile, is still available to stream on HBO Max, after first joining the platform this spring.
“Degrassi” is about the high school experience and the roller-coaster journey of self-discovery. Set in Toronto, the updated series explores a group of teenagers and school faculty living in the shadow of events that both bind them together and tear them apart. For Cassie Steele and Miriam McDonald, playing Degrassi's inseparable best friends Manny and Emma came with a lot more pressure than just being on camera. On June 21, the two stars reunited on Instagram Live and discussed everything from playing their legendary roles to their Irl friendship of over two decades. When asked what Cassie thought the most challenging thing was about playing her character, she revealed that fellow teenagers had difficulty separating her from her role of Manny, especially during her infamous sidekick-to-school-hottie phase. For those who don't know, this particular phase included an infamous scene of Manny making heads turn while she walked down her...

While most of us would probably dread going to our high school reunion, Drake managed to make it look like the best idea ever when he dropped the Degrassi: Next Generation-themed music video for his new single "I'm Upset" on Wednesday. Not only did he reunite all of our favorite characters - including Nina Dobrev (Mia Jones), Lauren Collins (Paige Brooks), Shane Kippel (Gavin "Spinner" Mason), Miriam McDonald (Emma Nelson), and Ephraim Ellis (Rick Murray) - but he also brought back a hotter-than-ever A.J. Saudin, who played Connor DeLaurier on the beloved teen series.
Although some stars were left out, like Daniel Clark and Ryan Cooley (who played Sean Cameron and J.T. Yorke respectively), we can't help but reminisce about our childhood with the epic throwback video that has us deep in our feelings. Keep reading to see all of the behind-the-scenes photos the former cast mates shared from...

Degrassi was one of the most beloved teen dramas in the early 2000s, which is why fans were deep in their feelings when the cast reunited for Drake's latest music video, "I'm Upset." Not only is the high-school-reunion-themed video jam-packed with nostalgic references (including the show's iconic theme song), but it also reintroduces us to our favorite characters and the actors who played them. While Emma and Manny haven't aged a day, there was one star who made us do a double take: Connor freaking DeLaurier.
Let's just say Connor, who was played by Canadian actor A.J. Saudin, had a serious glow-up. To be honest, we didn't even realize it was him until the credits rolled and showed the side by side of him and his character. Since wrapping the series in 2015, the 26-year-old, who now goes by the professional name Saudin, has put his acting days behind him and pursued a career in music.

Is it time for Degrassi: The Next Next Generation? After witnessing the Internet's freakout over Drake staging an epic Degrassi reunion for his "I'm Upset" video, it's clear there's still a lot of love and interest in the iconic Canadian teen soap. And given the TV industry's recent obsession with all thing revival and reboots, is it time to head back to Degrassi High for an actual on-screen reunion? "Never say never," original star Miriam McDonald told E! News of a possible Degrassi revival series. "We couldn't have predicted this video was going to come along. Who knows what the next stop on this crazy train we're on is going to be." With most...

Just when you think he's down for the count, Drake comes back to prove he's never out for long. After a brief quiet period following a rap beef with Pusha T, Drake dropped a surprise for all his fans on Wednesday night with the music video for his song "I'm Upset."
The high-school-reunion-themed video takes viewers back to Drake's days on the Canadian TV drama Degrassi: The Next Generation, on which he played the role of Jimmy Brooks from 2001 to 2009. It features a slew of his Degrassi castmates, including Nina Dobrev (Mia Jones), Lauren Collins (Paige Brooks), Shane Kippel (Gavin "Spinner" Mason), Miriam McDonald (Emma Nelson), and Ephraim Ellis, whose character, Rick Murray, shoots Jimmy Brooks and paralyzes him from the waist down during season four.

The kids of Degrassi had their own high school reunion last night! Before being known as Drake, Aubrey Graham made a name for himself as a Canadian actor starring on the Noggin series "Degrassi: The Next Generation." The rapper played Jimmy Brooks on the series, a basketball player who ended up in a wheelchair after a school shooting left him paralyzed. While he left the show in 2007, Drake met up with a trio of his former costars on Wednesday night at the Toronto screening of the new series "We Are Disorderly." At the event, he was seen taking photos with Daniel Clark (Sean Cameron), Adam Ruggiero (Maro Del Rossi) and Lauren Collins (Paige Michalchuk). The series they were supporting is directed by Samir Rehem, who directed a ton of "Degrassi" episodes, and written by Mazin Elsadig, who played Damian on the Noggin show. This is the second mini-"Degrassi" reunion in the past week,...

I, like many horror fans, know that the werewolf movie is the hardest of all the horror sub-genres to get right. For every American Werewolf in London, there’s an American Werewolf in Paris… But once in a while a movie comes along that successfully captures what makes the genre great. Wolves is one such movie.
Written and directed by David Hayter, who has penned such blockbuster films as X-Men and its sequel; and the film adaptation of Watchmen, Wolves tells the story of Cayden Richards. Your typical all-American jock, Cayden goes on the run following a vicious football incident and the murder of his parents – possibly at Cayden’s hands. You see Cayden is changing and not in your typical high-school teenager way.

Scream 4
Opens: April 15th 2011
Cast: Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Courteney Cox, Mary McDonnell, Emma Roberts Director: Wes Craven
Summary: Sidney Prescott, now the author of a self-help book, returns home to Woodsboro on the last stop of her book tour. There she reconnects with family and friends, but it also brings about the return of Ghostface which puts the whole town in danger.

Yet the "Scream" series itself never could quite capture that glory again. By the time the...

TORONTO -- Los Angeles-based Program Partners on Tuesday said it has cleared Canadian teen drama Degrassi: The Next Generation in 60% of the country for a September launch, including 18 of the top 25 U. S. markets.
Program Partners said the off-network distribution of Degrassi: The Next Generation will be anchored by a group-wide commitment from Tribune Broadcasting, with additional clearances from stations in the Belo, Clear Channel, Granite, Gray, Hubbard and Pegasus groups as well as the CW PLUS station network.
Degrassi: The Next Generation, which is produced by Toronto-based Epitome Pictures and currently airs on CTV in Canada and The N in the U.S. market, portrays the challenges of young adulthood through students and teachers in a fictional Toronto high school.
The series' ensemble cast includes Miriam McDonald, Cassie Steele, Aubrey Graham, Deanna Casaluce, Sarah Barrable-Tishauer, Shane Kippel and Jake Goldsbie.
Program Partners found earlier success selling Canadian-made such procedural cop dramas as Da Vinci's Inquest, Cold Squad and Stone Undercover into weekly U.S.
