Throughout The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, I never really viewed Patton Oswalt’s character Todd — Walter’s personal eHarmony counselor who goes above and beyond the call of duty — as legitimate. I just thought, “Huh, well, that’s an interesting way for Ben Stiller to sneak his funny buddy into the movie.” Most of the time I assumed Todd might be fictional, another element of Walter’s overactive imagination, and that eHarmony was in on the joke.
“I’m incredibly dumb,” my own eHarmony profile might say — because Not Quite!
eHarmony says it did not pay for promotion within the film.

New York, Dec 28: Dating site eHarmony has added a counselling service to its offerings similar to the one Ben Stiller's character shelled out 500 dollars for in 'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.'
However, the real-life version will cost you 5,000 dollars a year, the New York Post reported.
The dating giant, whose aim was to make matchmaking so easy anyone could do it themselves, surveyed 15,000 members who earn more than 250,000 dollars a year and found that there was huge demand for a personal counsellor that can not only sift through matches but can also help you with your profile.
Grant Langston, eHarmony's.

Penelope Ann Miller has joined High School Musical star Corbin Bleu in Rigel Entertainment's motocross action-drama movie Free Style.
Previously titled Metal Birding, the film, which began lensing in November in Vancouver, also has a new director in William Dear, who replaced Jeff Woolnough (Taken, Battlestar Galactica). No reason was cited by Rigel for the change.
Additionally, real-life motocross star Grant Langston and Sandra Echeverria have joined the cast, which includes Matt Bellefleur and Madison Pettis.
The coming-of-age story centers on a young motocross racer (Bleu) who aspires to win the Amateur National Championships while struggling to support his family.
Miller will play Jeannette, a single working mom to one of the teenage racers who strives to provide for her family while studying full-time to become a nurse.
Langston guest stars as the racing champion that Bleu's character and his rival (Bellefleur) looks up to. Echeverria will play Bleu's girlfriend.
Rigel is producing in association with Up North Entertainment. Executive producing is Rigel's John F.S. Laing and David Doerksen, Jim O'Grady of Waterfront Pictures and Michael Emanuel of Canal Street Films.
