- Jôji Yanami was born on August 30, 1931 in Fushun, Manchuria, Republic of China [now China]. He was an actor, known for Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (1984), Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods (2013) and Dragon Ball GT (1996). He died on December 3, 2021.
- As of 2015, Yanami has temporarily taken a break from voice acting to undergo medical treatment, and so Toei had announced that fellow voice actor Naoki Tatsuta would take over as Kaiô-sama and the narration on Dragon Ball Super (2015).
