As of the 2003 season coached for the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim,
Washington Capitals, and San Jose Sharks.
In 1997-1998 guided the Washington Capitals to their first Stanley Cup
Final appearance.
Took over the head coaching duties for the San Jose Sharks December 4,
2002.
Head coach of the USA men's Olympic Ice Hockey Team in 1998.
Head coach of the USA World Cup of Hockey team in 1996.
All time leading scorer for Providence College (250 points).
Played for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Minnesota North Stars.
Selected by the Houston Aeros #176 overall 1974 WHA Amateur Draft and
by the Toronto Maple Leafs #132 overall 1975 NHL Amateur Draft.
His daughter Lauren's part-time job was cleaning Paul Kariya's house,
which she was allowed to keep even after the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim
fired Wilson. Kariya signed with the the Colorado Avalanche in July
2003.
Born in Windsor, Ontario but spent most of his childhood raised in
Riverside, Rhode Island which allowed him to become a U.S. Citizen as
both his parents were American
