It seems to be a CW-tribute week of sorts on CBS tonight. Not only is Travis Wester (Ghostfacers’s Harry Spangler from Supernatural) on NCIS, but Cassidy Freeman (Tess Mercer of Smallville) returns to NCIS: New Orleans. Cassidy’s character, Eva Azarova, first appeared last year in a crossover event with NCIS as a “person of interest.” […]...

Sam and Dean are still in the midst of their brotherly spat, but the Winchesters weren’t the only dynamic duo having relationship troubles in this week’s episode of Supernatural. The other pair of embattled buddies? None other than the Ghostfacers, who made their reappearance this week after a five-season (!) absence.
As you might be able to guess, it wasn’t exactly a happy reunion between the brothers and “supernaturalists”/official pains in the rump Harry (Travis Wester) and Ed (A.J. Buckley). In fact, Ed and Harry were probably the last people Sam and Dean expected to encounter while...

The Ghostfacers try to stand up to the Winchesters in this sneak peek of "Supernatural" Episode 9.15, "#Thinman," but Dean's having none of it. Let's hope he had none of the food at that dirty diner they're visiting either!
"Supernatural" Episode 9.15 - "#Thinman" (airs 3/4/14, 9-10pm)
The Ghostfacers Return — A teenage girl (guest star Ali Webb) is killed, and the final selfie she took before the attack shows a ghostly figure in the background.
Looking for something to keep them busy, Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) head to Washington to find the ghost.
While the two interview the girl’s mother, Betty (guest star Maria Marlow), they are surprised when she starts talking about cold spots and fritzing. When they ask her about bringing up paranormal signs, Betty replies that the “supernaturalists” who called earlier brought it up.
Enter Harry (guest star Travis Wester) and Ed (guest star A.J. Buckley), the famous supernaturalists.

It has been ten years since EuroTrip, riding the raunchy teen comedy revival of the late ’90s and early naughts, burst into theaters and exposed an entire generation of teens to a beach full of dangling male genitalia. And even a decade later, those involved with the cult classic are still proud of it — every sex organ included.
At least, that was the vibe taken away from the audience Wednesday night in Hollywood, where cast members Scott Mechlowicz (“Scotty”), Jacob Pitts (“Cooper”), Michelle Trachtenberg (“Jenny”), Travis Wester (“Jamie”) joined producers Jeff Schaffer, Alec Berg, and David Mandel and several others for a Q&A session.

“Is this the end of zombie Shakespeare?” It would appear not, as John Murlowski’s comedy Zombie Hamlet makes its way onto DVD on December 31st. Written by John McKinney and with original music by Jackson Rathbone, whom you might remember from Twilight or, if you’re too ashamed to admit you knew that, the indie horror flick Dread.
The film stars Travis Wester, Jason Mewes, Shelley Long, Vanessa Lee Evigan, John Amos, and June Lockhart.
Zombie Hamlet tells the story of first-time film director, Osric Taylor (Travis Wester), as he finally manages to get his dream movie financed. He envisions Shakespeare's Hamlet set against the epic backdrop of the American Civil War. Osric heads to a small Louisiana town to start filming when his production funding unexpectedly dries up. "Supernatural" doesn't return to The CW until Sept. 23, but we've got a fun mid-hiatus treat for all of you Castiel fans!
Last year, we loved the "Supernatural" spin-off web series "Ghostfacers," featuring our favorite fumbling ghost hunters Ed (A.J. Buckley) and Harry (Travis Wester). But we didn't get to see all of it.
In the middle of "Supernatural's" fifth season, series star Misha Collins approached Buckley and Wester about their hilarious characters, who he didn't have the opportunity to interact with on The CW show. "He came up to us and told us he wanted to be on our show," Buckley told FearNet. "We pitched an 'Interview With an Angel' piece to ['Supernatural' creator Eric Kripke, who loved it. We had a blast shooting it."
After "Supernatural" was picked up for Season 6, however, the "Facers" were asked to keep the segment under wraps. Until now!

Considering I produce a ghosthunting parody show of my own, the subject of Ghostfacers is one very near and dear to my heart: a group of "professional" ghosthunters documenting their investigations with hilarious results. This first season, the team is tracking down the spirit of a murdered actress (played by Kelly Carlson of Nip/Tuck) who was forced to watch herself get her face slashed in the theatre dressing room where she performed. What is even more interesting about the show itself is the story of how it came to be. I had a chance to interview Aj Buckley (CSI: NY, Skateland) who plays Ed, the team’s enthusiastic leader, and Travis Wester (Euro Trip, Cold Case) staring as Harry, the co-founder of the team and tactical specialist, about the shows origins. "Ghostfacers was an incredibly original idea developed and written by Ben Edlund, one of the writers on Supernatural", they explained.

As you may recall, Supernatural's web series spin-off "Ghostfacers" debuted on April 15 with two new episodes being added each week. In honor of the occasion, The CW has provided us with video interviews of stars Travis Wester, Aj Buckley, Austin Basis, Brittany Ishibashi, and Mircea Monroe along with a chat with Jim Beaver (aka Bobby from Supernatural) and some footage of the premiere party.
The web series on Cwtv.com stars Aj Buckley as Ed, the team’s enthusiastic leader, and Travis Wester as Harry, the co-founder of the team and tactical specialist. Brittany Ishibashi is Maggie, Ed’s adopted sister and the team’s tech genius. Austin Basis co-stars as Kenny, the videographer and occasional shaman, and Mircea Monroe portrays their new intern Ambyr.
“Ghostfacers” follows a team of fearless and sometimes comical “professional” ghost hunters who investigate other-worldly sightings and record their own adventures in documentary-style episodes.

Photo of A.J. Buckley and Travis Wester of "Supernatural's" Ghostfacers copyright Collin Stark. Some heavy things happen on "Supernatural," which is why the CW show about demons, angels and ghouls has always found ways to lighten the vibe. When the Ghostfacers, a team of amateur spook-hunters, arrived on the show in Season 1, they were an amusing counterpoint to the brave and savvy Winchester brothers (who frankly found the Ghostfacers annoying). The main Ghostfacers, Ed (A.J. Buckley), Harry (Travis Wester), may have had a couple of specter-savvy Web sites, Hellhound's Lair and Ghostfacers.com, but hunting ghosts for real turned out...

If you remember the Ghostfacer team from their three "Supernatural" episodes, you're probably expecting their new web series, which premieres today (April 15) to be a bucket of laughs.
Zap2it was on the scene when the cast and crew of "Supernatural" at the "Ghostfacers" premiere in Hollywood on April 14. We've seen the whole series, and we can say that while you'll definitely laugh, you might be surprised by the more emotional moments from the series. As Travis Wester explained to us, the story has plenty of "pathos" -- his buzzword of the night.
He's the expert. After all, he and A.J. Buckley are not only the stars of the series -- along with "Life Unexpected's" Austin Basis and Brittany Ishibashi -- but also writers and directors. It made sense for them to be on the writing staff, because the original "Supernatural" episodes were largely improvised. They were so funny...

Avid 'Supernatural' fans are certain to remember the names Ed (A.J. Buckley) and Harry (Travis Wester), a very different demon-hunting dynamic duo than the hunky pair of Winchesters we've come to know and love, and founders of the ill-advised paranormal investigation team, the Ghostfacers.
From as far back as season 1, Ed and Harry have brought their own brand of bumbling, semi-suicidal "ghost facing" to our screens as part of the 'Supernatural' universe, but on April 15, coinciding with the series' landmark 100th episode, the Ghostfacers will launch their very own Webseries on Cwtv.com.
Lucky 'Super' fans who attended Creation Entertainment's recent "Salute to Supernatural" convention in Los Angeles already got a sneak peek at the spooktastic (and undeniably hilarious) Webseries, but now, thanks to the magic of the Internet, you can see it too. As mentioned in our coverage of the 2010 Streamy Awards, the first two episodes of “Ghostfacers” – the new original shortform series/brand extension of The CW's Supernatural – is set to premiere Thursday, April 15, on Cwtv.com; and now we have a few more details to share.
The debut of the “Ghostfacers” digital series, starring Aj Buckley and Travis Wester as the world’s greatest self-proclaimed ghost hunters on a quest for the paranormal, coincides with the broadcast of the 100th episode of Supernatural, "Point of No Return", starring Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles.
The first two episodes will launch on April 15 at 10 a.m. on Cwtv.com, followed by two additional episodes each Thursday for the next four weeks, for a total of 10 episodes. When Travis Wester ("EuroTrip") and "CSI: NY's" A.J. Buckley shot their first episode of "Supernatural" in 2006, there were already rumors of a spin-off. Their characters, reckless amateur ghost hunters Harry and Ed, returned to the show in 2008 for "Ghostfacers."
The first episode after the writers strike ended, "Ghostfacers" defied the usual "Supernatural" format and was instead written and shot to look like the pilot episode of Ed and Harry's new reality show. Unfortunately, the faux-pilot was never picked up.
"The Winchesters erased our pilot," Buckley tells Zap2it.
"Douchebags," Wester interrupts.

After killing off Jo and her mom (sigh, catch you later, Alona Tal) “Supernatural” is on a bit of a holding pattern for the next few episodes, including last week’s asylum-set filler. Until the show does rebound back to its main demon apocalypse storyline, there’s new “Supernatural” content to be found on the net in the form of 10, 3-minute webisodes based on the “Ghostfacers”. You remember the Ghostfacers, don’t you? Those “Ghost Hunters”-wannabes who the brothers Winchester ran across in year one, then again in year three? Well they’re back. The original web series will star A.J. Buckley (“CSI: NY”), Travis Wester (“Bones”), Brittany Ishibashi (“Supernatural”) and Austin Basis (“Life Unexpected”), and will follow the Ghostfacers as they investigate various hauntings, presumably with comedic results. After all, the Ghostfacers themselves were originally created to parody all the ghost-chasing shows on TV, so there’s a...

The Ghostfacers – who first appeared in the season 1 episode "Hell House" and then appeared again in the self-titled episode in season 3 of Superntural – are going to be made into a web series.
The original Ghostfacers consisted of Ed Zeddmore (played by Aj Buckley) and Harry Spengler (played by Travis Wester), who met up with the Winchester brothers when they inadvertently helped "summon" a spirit through stories on their website. The team expanded in season 3 to a "semi-professional" (and I use that term loosely) group who again met up with the brothers when investigating a haunted house. Oh yeah, and there was a brief appearance in season 4 in the alternate reality episode "It's a Terrible Life", although Zeddmore and Spengler only appeared in instructional ghost fighting videos on the brothers' computer. Needless to say, the Ghostfacers have fans. Enough fans to warrant a web series.

Warner Brothers is teaming up with an old friend again—single-word director McG. Having last collaborated on the 2008 online drama Sorority Forever, today came word that Ghostfacers, a new 10-episode sci-fi comedy web series from McG's Wonderland Sound and Vision production company and Warner's Studio 2.0 is currently in production in Los Angeles. The series appears to be a spin-off of Warner Bros. Television's Supernatural series which airs on The CW. They are calling this a "shortform brand extension" of the TV series, which means this is really a companion web series, instead of a purely original project. Ghostfacers will follow a "a team of fearless and sometimes comical “professional” ghost hunters who investigate the paranormal and record their own adventures in documentary-style episodes." That same team actually made its debut on Supernatural's first season during the "Hell House" episode, and later resurfaced on season three. The series...

Not content with dominating TV, books, comics, and magazines, Supernatural is getting its own spin-off in the form of a webseries. Ghostfacers, based on the fan-favorite characters that appeared in season 1's "Hell House" episode and season 3's "Ghostfacers" episode, will start as three 10-minute episodes that will run on TheWB.com and Cwtv.com. According to Variety, the webseries will follow the Ghostfacers as they investigate haunted happenings, shot documentary-style. A.J. Buckley and Travis Wester will return as the Ghostfacers, and will also be writing the webisodes. Supernatural executive producers McG, Peter Johnson, Jeff Grosvenor, Eric Kripke, and Phil Sgriccia will also be...

McG's Wonderland shingle and Warner Bros. TV are plotting an Internet spinoff to the CW's Supernatural titled Ghostfacers according to Variety. Wonderland has already begun production on the project, which will initially run as 10 three-minute episodes, which follows a team of ghost hunters who tape their exploits in documentary fashion. The somewhat comedic group first appeared on the first season of Supernatural (and were created for the show by Trey Callaway for the episode "Hell House") and also returned in season three, in the episode " Ghostfacers ," by Ben Edlund. Ghostfacers stars A.J. Buckley ("CSI: NY"), Travis Wester ("Bones"), Brittany Ishibashi ("Supernatural") and Austin Basis ("Life Unexpected")....

Warner Bros. TV's 2.0 and director McG's production company Wonderland will produce a spinoff to the CW's Vancouver-lensed TV series "Supernatural", titled "Ghostfacers".
The series will debut on TheWB.com and also play on the CW's website, initially running as three-minute episodes, starring actors A.J. Buckley, Travis Wester, Brittany Ishibashi and Austin Basis. Buckley and Wester are also writing the show with Patrick Doody and Chris Valenziano.
Executive producers are McG, Peter Johnson, Jeff Grosvenor, Eric Kripke and Phil Sgriccia.
Premise of the series follows a team of 'ghost hunters' who tape their exploits on the run, complete with shaky "Blair Witch Project" camera effects.
The "Ghostfacers", a deliberately stupid name, debuted on the first season of "Supernatural", created by writer Trey Callaway for the "Hell House" episode, then reappeared in the season three episode "Ghostfacers"...

Any "Supernatural" fan out there (and there should be more of them because this show kicks a copious amount of ass) is well acquainted with the "Ghostfacers" -- a bumbling group of paranormal investigators who have taken on a life all their own in terms of fan popularity. In what seems like a truly no-brainer of an idea, we're about to get even more of these cats' antics right here on the world weird web!
Variety reports that a new spin-off show, "Ghostfacers", is heading straight for the Internet.
From the article
"Ghostfacers" represents the latest expansion into the digital studio space for Wonderland, which is producing the "Supernatural" spinoff with Warner Bros. TV's Studio 2.0. In a twist, "Ghostfacers" will premiere on TheWB.com -- the interactive/video-on-demand website that emerged from the ashes of the WB television network (where "Supernatural" first bowed). The series will also appear on the CW's website.

Booth's baby brother, Jared, is back for an all new Bones episode on January 28 and it looks like he's dating a girl of ill repute (or, at least, Booth seems to think so). I always find the dynamic between the brothers interesting, so I'm liking Jared's reappearance.

Just as National Lampoon's Vacation begat "National Lampoon's European Vacation," so, too, has 2000's hit Road Trip paved the way for Eurotrip. And while it might have been tempting to this dismiss teen comedy as Eurotrash, it really isn't that bad, sophomorically speaking.
Although a number of the gags fall flatter than a crepe, the accent is on the charmingly juvenile as opposed to the purely puerile, with a fresh-faced cast of amiable young performers on hand to make the trek relatively painless.
Obviously DreamWorks, which is giving the picture the slot occupied this time last year by Old School (also from the Road Trip producing team), is looking to capture some of that boxoffice magic, and while Eurotrip isn't nearly as comically inspired, it should still play well with young male-skewing audiences.
Back when Road Trip hit the streets, the gross-out comedy was in full American Pie-fertilized bloom, but with the subgenre having thankfully bottomed out, the new breed likes to mix a little more naivete in with the naughty bits.
Hence the central character of Scotty, played by newcomer Scott Mechlowicz with the same sort of Jason Biggs nice-guy goofiness, a high school grad who finds himself en route to Europe to hook up with his German Internet pen pal Mieke (Jessica Boehrs) shortly after he was very publicly dumped by his girlfriend Fiona (Kristin Kreuk).
But before he gets to Berlin, Scotty and his sex-obsessed Buddy Cooper (Jacob Pitts) make pit stops in London and Paris -- where they hook up with friends Jenny (Michelle Trachtenberg) and her Frommer's Guide-wielding twin brother Jamie (Travis Wester) -- before moving on to Amsterdam, Bratislava, Rome and Vatican City.
Along the way they must deal with British soccer hooligans, annoying French human robots, a merciless Dutch dominatrix (Lucy Lawless) and a creepy, lascivious Italian guy on the train (Saturday Night Live's Fred Armisen).
Not all of it works, but the bright cast makes it mainly agreeable, as do the supporting players, including Matt Damon in a cameo as a tattooed rocker who performs (courtesy of the band Lustra) the very funny and very catchy Scotty Doesn't Know, which takes stock of Scotty's ex-girlfriend's various infidelities.
Making his directorial debut is Jeff Schaffer, who, along with fellow scripters Alec Berg and David Mandel, were former editors of the Harvard Lampoon before graduating to Seinfeld and more recently collaborated on Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat.
Their gently risque style seems better suited to the teen sex comedy than to Dr. Seuss, but the most impressive work here is done by production designer Allan Starski (Schindler's List) and visual effects supervisor Kevin Blank, who manage to create reasonable facsimiles of all the above-mentioned destinations without ever setting foot off of the production's Prague home base.

DreamWorks has put up the sails to acquire The Island from scribe Caspian Treadwell-Owen for mid-six against seven figures with Michael Bay attached to direct. The sci-fi thriller is being described as a cross between The Fugitive and The Matrix. Specifics of the plot are being closely guarded. At the studio, production topper Michael De Luca and production executive Adam Goodman brought the script in and will oversee its development. The Beyond Borders scribe Treadwell-Owen is repped by CAA. Bay is repped by WMA and Robert Offer at Offer, Weber & Dern. He last directed Bad Boys II starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence for Columbia Pictures. He signed with WMA in October, the week after The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which he produced through his Platinum Dunes along with Mike Fleiss, opened at No. 1. DreamWorks next releases the Montecito Picture Co. comedy Eurotrip. Penned by Alec Berg, David Mandel and Jeff Schaffer, the film stars Michelle Trachtenberg, Scott Mechlowicz, Jacob Pitts and Travis Wester.
The director tangle with the DGA over the untitled Montecito comedy (aka Ugly Americans) at DreamWorks Pictures has been sorted out. When Montecito picked up the project last year from Alec Berg, Jeff Schaffer and David Mandel, the intention was that the trio would make it their directorial debut. DGA rules, however, doesn't allow three directors on a film, and the guild recently denied a request from the trio for a waiver. So the three have decided that Schaffer will take sole credit, though they still are expected to collaborate on helming duties, sources said. In other news on the project, Scott Mechlowicz has joined Michelle Trachtenberg, Travis Wester and Jacob Pitts as the fourth lead in the story of four friends' misadventures as they crisscross Europe after graduating from high school. The part is Mechlowicz's first major role following UCLA drama school. He's repped by Meridien Artists' Mark Bass. The comedy is scheduled to start shooting May 3.
