Aretha Franklin's publishing company has been sued by songwriter Norman West over a royalty payments dispute. West, who has written several songs for Franklin, charges that the singer's Springtime Publishing never secured a royalty agreement for his track 'Put It Back Together Again', which featured on the 2011 LP Aretha: A Woman Falling Out of Love. The songwriter also alleges that Springtime Publishing committed copyright infringement by releasing another of his songs, 1998's 'Watch My Back'.
