Is it time for Richard Webber to hang up the stethoscope permanently?
After a bit of a hiatus, we're back to our regularly scheduled program with Grey's Anatomy Season 20 Episode 6, and we're left to wonder if Webber may be hanging up his white coat for good.
It's been 20 years, give or take, of watching him on our screens, and he's been practicing medicine for infinitely longer.
But something has been troubling him for some time, and we may see him unraveling to the point of interfering with the job.
We know he's faced some issues with his sobriety.
He opened up to his constant sober buddy, Amelia Shepherd, about it, and he's gone back to AA meetings after feeling he has to start the process all over again after a difficult moment.
Fortunately, it doesn't appear he's set down a path of battling his alcoholism with troubling results.

GREYÕS Anatomy – ABC’s “GreyÕs Anatomy” stars James Pickens Jr. as Richard Webber. Grey’s Anatomy must have some unusual fans. Usually, when a long-running megahit television show is not renewed, fans are disappointed and ready to fight for their show. This is not the case with ABC’s hit drama, Grey’s Anatomy. Instead of being thrilled the show is coming back for its 21st season, the fans are begging for the show to end.

As Grey’s Anatomy writers get back to work following the resolution of the WGA strike, the stars of the ABC hospital drama are helping keep the SAG-AFTRA strike alive. “Some of us have been fortunate enough to have gigs that have given us a certain amount of comfortableness, if that’s the right word,” James Pickens Jr., who plays Dr. Richard Webber on the show, said in a speech at the Warner Bros. studio on Friday, as a Deadline video shows. “But this strike is about the rank and file, about the majority of actors who are just trying to make enough to get health benefits … and make a living wage.” Sarah Drew/Instagram Members of the Screen Actors Guild–American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) have been on strike since mid-July as part of a labor dispute with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), which represents Hollywood studios,...

We'll be old and gray before Grey's Anatomy ends!
Grey's Anatomy continues to make records and hold its own as a cultural juggernaut in the television landscape as it comes off 19 seasons on the air.
And while there has been a revolving door cast over the past nearly two decades, including the titular main character, Meredith Grey herself, it shows no signs of slowing down.
One of the most exciting aspects of Grey's Anatomy Season 19 is how the series found a way to reinvent itself.
It served as a reboot within the series, and the show pulled it off remarkably well with a fresh batch of interns who have already made their mark and feel like the next generation of this series.
No one could've anticipated that a new version of Og "M.A.G.I.C" conveniently, also "M.A.G.Yk" could bring back the familiar vibes of Grey's Anatomy's heyday,...

Annecy — London-based Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe is set to initiate production next week on “Beast Boy: Lone Wolf,” the first time than a DC title that will be made out of the U.K.
The announcement was made at a studio focus for Warner Bros. Animation, Cartoon Network Studios and Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe, whose fan favourites had a student/exec audience hollering in approval.
Introduced by Sam Register, president of all three companies, the focus must rate at the fastest-paced of all big studio unveils at Annecy, packed by never-seen-before footage of multiple shows. Register didn’t talk strategy: The audience wanted to see shows, and studio execs were excited to show them.

Despite a recent wave of cast exits, Grey's Anatomy will continue on ABC into the 2023-24 TV season.
The network on Friday renewed Grey's Anatomy for an unprecedented Season 20.
As ABC's longest-running series, Grey's Anatomy has still commanded strong ratings, meaning that a renewal was inevitable.
Typically with longer-running shows, renewals are more complicated due to cast salaries.
But Grey's Anatomy has said goodbye to Ellen Pompeo as a series regular, while Kelly McCreary will depart next month.
Also exiting is Krista Vernoff, who has served as showrunner on the series.
Executive producer Meg Marinis will take the reigns of the series.
Marinis has a long and storied history with the series, having written more than 25 episodes and served as an executive producer.
Undoubtedly, a renewal for the series has been made more attractive with the cast exits.

Meredith Grey is losing another family member.
As reported by our sister site Deadline, Kelly McCreary is leaving “Grey’s Anatomy” during the upcoming April 13 episode. For those keeping track at home, that will be the show’s 414th episode (!) overall. McCreary played Maggie Pierce, the sister of Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo), for nine seasons on ABC’s medical drama after initially debuting in the two-part Season 10 finale in 2014. Read the actress’ full statement below, in which she declares, “It has been a tremendous honor.”
McCreary’s exit will likely be connected to Maggie’s recent marriage troubles with Winston Ndugu (Anthony Hill), a storyline that has dominated this 19th season. Prior to this year, Maggie and Winston were one of the show’s power couples who memorably got married in a beautiful beach setting at the end of Season 17, aka the dreaded “Covid season.”

It was simultaneously one of the season's funniest and most emotional hours.
We had another tragic loss on Grey's Anatomy Season 19 Episode 10, but the hour was also full of absolutely hilarious moments and some progress for many characters.
It's still good vibes and that revamped classic quality.
It's hard not to feel bad for Link these days when he's still catching hell and having people wary of him after losing Tank. The second Teddy went to him for help, and he gave her that hilarious look, it was apparent that he and Owen together would make for a hard day.
The one patient who didn't want Owen working on him since he clearly had an issue and was up for review or Link since he felt Link killed Tank was hilarious.
They weren't the ideal pairing to have in the E.R. together. And most of their patients were challenging.

Spoiler Alert: This essay contains spoilers from “I’ll Follow the Sun,” the Feb. 23 episode of “Grey’s Anatomy.”
From her first episode as Dr. Meredith Grey on March 27, 2005 — when “Grey’s Anatomy” premiered on ABC and became a once-in-a-generation pop-culture sensation — to what’s being billed as a goodbye episode on Feb. 23, 2023, Ellen Pompeo could forge chemistry with anyone. Along with its lexicon-changing writing and intricate yet rowdy plotting by Shonda Rhimes, what’s made “Grey’s Anatomy” a phenomenon was watching Meredith just live her life. She was a character network television never seen before: a brilliant woman whose life had been marred by tragedy, yet who wasn’t going to let her dark and twisty past get in her way. Meredith had a lot of fun; she saved a lot of lives; she had a lot of sex.
And it was her relationships that made “Grey’s Anatomy” stand out at first.

ABC has released more information and a new promo for Grey’s Anatomy‘s Feb 23 winter return, entitled “I’ll Follow the Sun,” which will mark Meredith Grey’s (Ellen Pompeo) departure from Grey Sloan Memorial.
In the episode, written by Grey’s executive producer/showrunner Krista Vernoff and directed by series’ executive producer Debbie Allen, it’s Meredith’s last day at Grey Sloan Memorial and the doctors plan a goodbye surprise, while Nick confronts her about the future of their relationship. Elsewhere, the interns compete to scrub in on Maggie and Winston’s groundbreaking partial heart transplant procedure, and Richard asks Teddy an important question.
