Las Vegas — It was poised to be a big night for the ladies at the 45th annual Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday night from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. And Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood and Lady Antebellum made sure that prediction came true as the pistol-packing country gal, the former "American Idol" champ and the female-led chart-topping trio swept up the evening's major awards.
Host Reba McEntire opened the show with some sharp-tongued barbs, praising the year of hits that included "White Liar," and then thanked Tiger Woods and Jesse James for giving country's women so much material. She took some good-humored jabs at young stars Underwood and Taylor Swift, joking about Underwood's...

No, you aren't reading this list wrong. Taylor Swift, whose album "Fearless" has garnered her Country Music Awards, Video Music Awards, and even Grammy Awards, really did go home empty-handed from the 2010 Academy of Country Music Awards.
Lady Antebellum, on the other hand, had an incredible night. They became the first group to beat Rascal Flatts in the Vocal Group of the Year category in seven years, and took home both Song of the Year and Record of the Year.
Carrie Underwood became the first woman to ever win Entertainer of the Year twice - she also took home the trophy in 2009. Check out the full list of winners below and don't miss Zap2it's Best and Worst Moments from the 2010 Acm Awards Ceremony.
Entertainer Of The Year: Carrie Underwood
Other nominees: Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, George Strait, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Zac Brown Band

Toby Keith gave a heartrending tribute to NBA player and jazz bass guitar great Wayman Tisdale with his song "Cryin' for Me" at the 2010 Academy of Country Music awards.
Tisdale passed away on May 15, 2009 after a two-year battle with osteosarcoma (cancer in his knee). He had his leg amputed from the disease in 2008 but never stopped fighting to beat the cancer. He is survived by his wife REgina and four children.
Toby Keith dedicated his 2009 album "American Ride" to Tisdale and wrote "Cryin' for Me (Wayman's Song)" in his memory. Toby Keith and Dave Koz, a jazz saxophone player, performed the tribute song for the 2010 Acm awards. We'll post video just as soon as it becomes available but for now, check out the music video for "Cryin' for Me."

Country singer Toby Keith will perform for charity at this weekend’s Academy of Country Music Awards.
The singer will perform a special song he wrote for a friend – singer and NBA star Wayman Tisdale – he lost to cancer. The performance of "Cryin’ For Me (Wayman’s Song) will be available on iTunes, with proceeds going to Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C).
“Wayman was an amazing guy,” said Keith. “In the song there’s a line that says ‘he showed us how to live and now he showed me how to die.’ Both of those were true. He didn’t frown on people for how they live, he led by example. He showed you how you’re supposed to live and he died with so much dignity. I am happy to partner with Acm Lifting Lives and SU2C to donate proceeds of the performance downloads to support this important cause.

Toby Keith pays homage to his close friend Wayman Tisdale who passed away in May last year as captured in a music video for his single "Cryin' for Me (Wayman's Song)". His performance scene is mashed up with random footage of the late NBA star and jazz bassist.
"Cryin' for Me" is taken from Keith's latest studio installment "American Ride". The country music crooner planned to perform the song at Tisdale's funeral, but delivered Willie Nelson's "Angel Flying Too Close to the Ground" instead because he was too emotional to sing the tribute track.
Toby Keith's 13th studio album, "American Ride" has arrived in U.S. stores since October 6. Led by the title track, the effort peaked at No. 3 on Billboard Hot 200 and reigned the U.S. Top Country Albums chart.
