- Mike Thompson was born in 1969 in Seattle, Washington, USA. He is a writer and producer, known for Love Happens (2009), Dragonfly (2002) and The Firm (1993).
- He is writing and producing partner with Brandon Camp. Their writing credits include the newly purchased "911", a spec for Columbia. In 1998, they sold "Steinbeck's Point of View," which was being eyed as a Tom Cruise vehicle, to Bel Air Entertainment in a two-pic deal. Later that year, Bel Air purchased their pitch "Jackson". They also wrote "Dragonfly" which starred Kevin Coster and was released in 2002. Camp and Thompson were creators and executive producers on "John Doe", which ran a full season on Fox in 2002/2003.
