Reacher's Solution To Season 2's Biggest Mystery Is Disappointing
Image
Warning! Spoilers ahead for Reacher season 2, episode 6.

Reacher season 2 resolves the mystery surrounding Swan's role in an anticlimactic manner, disappointing fans. The show establishes the bond of the 110th Special Investigations Unit, causing a conflict among the team regarding Swan's betrayal. Swan's true identity and the team's history are not as compelling as the murder mystery in season 1, making season 2 less exciting overall.

Reacher season 2 has resolved its biggest mystery but in a disappointing way. Jack and the surviving members of the 110th Special Investigations Unit are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel while trying to uncover the truth about their former teammates' deaths. More than two years after Jack's brother, Joe Reacher died in Reacher season 1, he is once again pulled from his hobo lifestyle when he learns of the brutal murder of Calvin Franz (Luke Bilyk ) and the disappearance of Tony Swan (Shannon Kook...

1 Reacher Season 2 Theory Is Way Too Obvious (But It's Probably Right)
Image
Spoilers are ahead for Reacher season 2, episodes 1–5.

Reacher Season 2 puts Jack Reacher at the center of a life-threatening conspiracy targeting his former Army unit. David O'Donnell, a member of Reacher's former unit, is a suspicious character with the potential for hidden motives. Despite evidence pointing towards O'Donnell, it would be a letdown if he turned out to be the main villain, as it would be yet another rehash of a tired action-movie trope.

With Jack Reacher's sophomore outing nearing an end, one popular Reacher season 2 fan theory is way too obvious — but it's also probably right. Based on Lee Child's Bad Luck and Trouble, Reacher season 2 put its titular character at the center of a conspiracy that's targeting his former hand-picked Army unit. A drifter in his post-military days, Reacher (Alan Ritchson) has been wandering around since the first season's Margrave, Georgia-set counterfeiting case. When Reacher's fellow former military...

The Cleaning Lady: Santiago Cabrera Grills Thony in First Season 3 Footage — Watch Teaser
Image
Thony De La Rosa tries to convince an intimidating gentleman that she’s “just a cleaning lady” in a new teaser for The Cleaning Lady‘s third season — but we saw how well that worked for her during the show’s pilot episode.

The 20-second spot, which you can watch above, introduces Santiago Cabrera (Star Trek: Picard) as Jorge Sanchez, who grills Thony about who she really is (and is quite unsatisfied when she insists she’s “no one”). According to Jorge’s official character description, he uses “legitimate business fronts to launder money and serve as a fixer in his family’s organization,...

Who Was Reacher's Brother? What Joe Did Before His Season 1 Death
Image
Warning! Spoilers ahead for Reacher season 2, episode 5.

Jack and Joe Reacher were close during childhood, growing up in a military family and moving frequently. Joe acted as Jack's protector and they did everything together. Joe previously worked for the U.S. government as the Director of the Office of Investigations, which helps Jack and O'Donnell in their current mission involving the 110th Special Investigators and New Age. Joe died before the events of Reacher season 1 while investigating a scheme. His murder was a key part of the narrative and led to Jack becoming involved in the case.

Reacher season 2 brings up Jack Reacher's brother, Joe, who played a big role in his upbringing. Alan Richtson's former military policeman-turned-hobo delves deeper into the mystery surrounding the brutal deaths of his old cohorts at the 110th Special Investigations Unit. With Cal Franz, Manuel Orozco, and Jorge Sanchez now confirmed to be dead because...

Reacher's Latest Villain Twist Makes A Major Season 2 Theory Much More Likely
Image
Warning! Spoilers ahead for Reacher season 2, episode 5.

Jack is the only one who believes in Swan's innocence despite mounting evidence against him. Neagley and Dixon discover incriminating information about Swan at New Age's facility. Swan's absence from the show suggests there may be more to his ties to New Age than being Langston's cohort. Hortense Fields may have been impersonating Swan all along.

Tony Swan's involvement in New Age in Reacher season 2 makes a major villain theory more plausible. Jack Reacher and the other surviving members of the 110th Special Investigators continue their hunt for the killers of their former teammates in Reacher season 2, episode 5, "Burial." With Jorge Sanchez and Manuel Orozco now confirmed dead after Calvin Franz's murder, all eyes are on uncovering the truth about Swan's ties to New Age. That includes whether he actually betrayed the Special Investigators. While the rest of the squad is...

Mexico touts more attractive film incentive
Mexican officials are considering further updates to the country’s current film incentives, a panel at London Mexfest reveals.

The ProAV incentive launched six years ago has already seen a number of key changes this year, with smaller-budgeted films now able to access the funding as well as slates or bundles of films able to apply. For the bundles, the lead producers can be different but the same Mexican production company has to be working on all of them.

ProAV offers cash rebate of 7.5% of all expenses in Mexico below the line (international producers can also get their Vat returned, so that savings can be up to 17.5%). Digital work, including animation and VFX, can start with the funding at $700,000 and film productions at about $3m. (More details of the current incentives can be found here and here.)

Jorge Sanchez, director of the Mexican Film Institute (Imcine), said the launch of London Mexfest yesterday: “It’s time to...
