Welcome to this review of night two of WWE’s Wrestlemania 38 pay per view which emanated from the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas in front of a crowd of apparently 77,899 people!
Match #1: Triple Threat Match – Rk-Bro def. Alpha Academy and The Street Profits The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The red-hot Rk-Bro remain atop Raw, The Street Profits live to fight another day, and Alpha Academy have made a new, and highly decorated, enemy following the frenzy that was the Raw Tag Team Title Triple Threat Match. Competing under sudden death rules in which the first team to score a pinfall or submission would be declared the winner, all six Superstars fought with a sense of urgency. The first fireworks came when Montez Ford soared over the ring post onto the rest of the field, followed by a moonsault to the floor by Chad Gable. Otis later displayed his unparalleled strength,...

Representative Marjorie Taylor Green (R-Ga.) incorrectly claimed that hospitals are not overwhelmed by Covid patients and downplayed the stark rise in cases nationwide by callously saying, “We’re human, we can’t live forever.”
The lawmaker made the comments during a Thursday interview on the right-wing network “Real America’s Voice.”
While claiming not to be anti-vax, Greene expressed more concern about the eventuality of the Fda officially approving the vaccines than she did for those suffering from the virus.

Welcome to this review of Impact Wrestling’s Homecoming pay per view, which features a tournament to crown Impact’s King & Queen (of the Ring??) and a highly-anticipated X Division match… which, to be fair, we know Josh Alexander Isn’T going to lose? Why the hell would you take the belt off such an enigmatic and Over wrestler?
Match #1: Homecoming Tournament 1st Round Match – Deonna Purrazzo & Matthew Rehwoldt def. Hernandez & Alisha The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:
The Drama King, Matthew Rehwoldt makes his shocking Impact debut and will be the partner of Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo! Hernandez tags into the match and Purrazzo goes toe-to-toe with the big man! Purrazzo almost takes him off his feet with a bicycle kick! Alisha sends Purrazzo to the outside, allowing Hernandez to hit Rehwoldt with a delayed vertical suplex. The pace quickens as Hernandez connects with running senton on Rehwoldt.

Stars: Clayton Farris, Damian Joseph Quinn, Elizabeth Grullon, Adam Nemet, Paul T. Taylor, Misty Bones, Clay Acker | Written by Justin Xavier | Directed by David Del Rio
Director David Del Rio and writer Justin Xavier, the duo who gave us the twisted Christmas story Sick for Toys, are back with Road Head, a bizarre, raunchy, and occasionally bloody, horror comedy with a distinct LGBTQ+ element. Can this tale of a road trip from hell bring you satisfaction? Or is this one time you should actually decline road head?
Bryan (Clayton Farris; Foster Boy) and his boyfriend Alex just wanted to go on a road trip to Isola Lake out in the desert. Unfortunately Bryan’s bestie Stephanie (Elizabeth Grullon; Killing Lazarus) got dumped by her boyfriend and decides to play third wheel despite the fact she and Alex don’t get along.
To make matters worse the lake turns out to be dried out.

Well, Royal Rumble has passed us by, WrestleMania is in the distance, SummerSlam is in the rear-view, and so it leaves that final member of the original “Big Four” WWE shows left for the year, with Survivor Series on the horizon for this November. I thought, then, that it might be fun to go back through the annals of Survivor Series history and pluck out ten of the very best matches from the event. Now, this wasn’t going to be a cake-walk. It wouldn’t be easy, afterall, there have been hundreds of matches at the event since its inception back in 1987. Still… I like a challenge, and I like pro-wrestling, so here we go. The ten best (in my modest little view at least) matches in Survivor Series history.
10) The Hart Foundation, The Islanders, The Dream Team, Demolition & The Bolsheviks vs. Strike Force, The British Bulldogs, The Killer Bees,...

Match #1: Hernandez def. Chase Stevens The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:
Former Tag Team Champions Hernandez (with Lax) and Chase Stevens (with The Naturals) do battle in the opening contest. Hernandez attempts the Border Toss in the early going but Stevens counters into a German Suplex. Stevens continues his attack with a big Superplex. Hernandez connects with the Border Toss to score the win.
My Opinion: 2 out of 5 – This was far too short to matter, but this was a nostalgia trip, so it was successful in that regard.
Match #2: Suicide & Manik def.

Welcome to this review of National Wrestling Alliance: Hard Times, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have the finale of the TV Title Tournament, as well as Nick Aldis defending the Nwa World Title against Ring Of Honor’s Flip Gordon. Let’s get right to it.
The following four matches are part of the TV Title Tournament: Match #1: Trevor Murdoch defeated The Question Mark
My Opinion: 2.3 out of 5 – While not a great match, this was a fun way for Murdoch to get a win.
Match #2: Dan Maff defeated Zicky Dice
My Opinion: 3 out of 5 – This was a good little match with a lot of hard hits and big slams with the right winner.
Match #3: Ricky Starks defeated Matt Cross

Welcome to this week’s edition of The Last Week In Wrestling, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have…if I’ve ever offended any-one on here with these reviews, then I apologize. I get carried away with the jokes and all that often enough. I read through a few of my reviews a bit ago and I can be a bit much. Match #1: Thunder Rosa defeated Tasha Steelz
My Opinion: 2.7 out of 5 – This was getting good, but it stopped after just two or so minutes. Why not let this sucker go for a while? Fortunately, this was a case of two women getting a lot in to a small space.
Match #2: Trevor Murdoch defeated Tom Lattimer – TV Title Tournament Match

My Opinion: 2.1 out of 5 – This wasn’t much other than a lot of talking. There were some slams and all that stuff, but you can skip this sucker.
Match #2: Melina defeated Ashley Vox
My Opinion: 2.6 out of 5 – Melina did well here and looked pretty tough over-all. Vox looks like she could rip some-one in half, which ain’t bad for this sport. This was waaaaaaaaaaaay too short. Welcome to this review of National Wrestling Alliance: Powerrr, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and the world would be better off if we stopped using money. Do you really like money? It’s a pain in the ass. My whole dumb plan would be to ask people to just give each other goods and services for free. Don’t wait for the governments to do this, because they won’t. I bet that if people did this for a week, we’d get addicted to that world without money in short order. Yeah, we’d have to re-assess how we live our lives (kiss restaurants and servants bye-bye…mostly), but I have faith that, when the chips are down, people will make the right decisions if you actually let them make the decision for them-selves. What does this have to do with Nwa: Powerrr? Technically,...

From the moment my photographer, Josh Mundy, and I pulled into the parking lot at the Wyndham Garden in Sterling Heights, Michigan, I knew that Astronomicon 2 would be considerably more sizable than its predecessor. Attendees not only didn’t have to brave a foot of snow as they did last year, but positive word of mouth and good promotion allowed for the second effort to attract droves of people hoping to meet their favorites celebrities, or to just take part in the festivities.
In addition to the factors just mentioned, I could plainly see how even more exhibitor tables were added to the lobby area that was once again home to the Ghostbusters Detroit setup, a delight to visitors of all ages. But once you ventured to the showroom floor itself, you’d find a generous helping of artists, crafters and vendors who had something to please horror, sci-fi and comic book fans.

Match #1: Mil Muertes (w/ Catrina) beat The Mack – Haunted House Match
This was a good match that brought Halloween a few months early. The idea here was that they had half of the inventory from Party City to attack each other with. This was like watching the Scott Steiner/Jeff Jarrett brawl from Tna/Impact that was booked to be Mick Foley’s idea. If Lou Thesz was here, he’d cut a promo on how stupid these two guys were for working a match like this and how bad their gimmicks are. The Mack deserves more than just being fodder for Mil, who is talented, but not likely to go too much farther with this character. Mil is a fun gimmick,...

Here’s your Lucha Underground Season 4, episode 3, review for Wednesday June 27th 2018:
Match #1: Xo Lishus beat Jack Evans
Regularly known as Sonny Kiss, this was Xo Lishus’s debut. With a vibrant personality and a buoyant move-set, Xo took on Jack Evans, one of wrestling’s best aerialists and all-around fighters. Evans was a heel here, which never seems to be the way the people want him, but Lucha Underground isn’t very flexible in the way they book their faces and heels, so its just some-thing he’s stuck with. These two matched up really well, Evans leap from corner to corner like a maniac and Xo bouncing around like a peacock colored pin-ball. I’m glad to see that Lu doesn’t have a problem with putting over new stars on the first night, especially ones who look like Vince McMahon’s worst nightmares come true.

In a business full of outspoken and outlandish characters, perhaps none are as outspoken and outlandish as Scott Steiner. The Big Bad Booty Daddy has never been shy about expressing himself and has in recent years garnered a reputation from shooting hard at some of the industry’s biggest names.
Which is why he was the perfect choice for a live Q and A! On March 21st 2016, Inside the Ropes presented the first night of the ‘Scott Steiner: Live and Uncensored’ tour at The Garage in Islington, London. A very enthusiastic crowd were on hand to meet the legend and hear his unfiltered opinions on everyone and everything from his 30-year career.

WWE’s February pay-per-views are typically the last major stop on the road to WrestleMania. They are the shows that feature (at least some of) the final significant swerves and championship victories ahead of the Showcase of the Immortals. In some instances, they even drastically alter the direction the company takes its top feuds and how they use their biggest stars.
The shows have been home to epic encounters and five-star classics. From Steve Austin vs. Triple H in 2001 to Kurt Angle vs. The Undertaker in 06, WWE’s February broadcasts have brought fans truly enduring matches.
For every Cactus Jack vs. Triple H Hell in a Cell match, though, there are three or four matches that royally reek of sucktitude. Like, Scott Steiner circa 2003 sucking. Or Blue Meanie vs. Goldust in a battle of He Who is Freakier suckiness.

They don’t make ’em like Scott Steiner anymore, do they?
In a landscape dominated by colourful, off-the-wall characters, the ‘Genetic Freak’ stood out amongst the most colourful and off-the-wall. A legit badass with a hair-trigger temper and a penchant for doing whatever the hell he wanted, Steiner was one of the most feared men in the business, especially during the final few years of WCW.
Steiner, revamped as ‘Big Poppa Pump’, was given a loose cannon character to portray. He would interrupt broadcasts, beat people up for next-to-nothing and ‘shoot’ on anyone he damn well pleased. Trouble was, most of this genuinely wasn’t scripted, and was simply Scott Steiner just being Scott Steiner.
The man was a menace but, damn, was he entertaining. It’s said that the best, most successful wrestling characters are the ones that closely mimic the person whose portraying them, and it...

Way back in 2012, Tna filed a lawsuit against “Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner seeking damages over a 10-day long Twitter rant disparaging the company. Mark Twain said, “‘It is better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt”. Mark Twain must not be widely read in wrestling circles, because there have been a lot of really bad promos over the years. It’s not a recent phenomenon, and there are as many types of bad promo as there are stars in the sky.
You’ve got notorious marblemouths like Scott Steiner who spout nonsense with absolute aplomb. You’ve got well-intentioned glossophobes like Roman Reigns or early Miz who desperately want to do a good job but are overproduced and underprepared. Scott Steiner is one of the most unique characters in wrestling. He’s not afraid to speak his mind and he’s at it again because he recorded a video where he challenged Hulk Hogan to have a $1 million fight with him.
The video comes from WrestlingInc and it shows Steiner ranting about Hogan while also tossing $100 bills at the camera to show that he’s doing just fine financially.
Steiner’s challenge is for Hogan to try to bodyslam him at a June 7 wrestling event at the New York Mets baseball Shea Stadium. His reasoning is that Hulk Hogan’s most famous moment in his career was when he bodyslammed Andre the Giant at WrestleMania 3. Keep in mind that this was during a worked pro wrestling match in 1987, but Steiner wants Hogan to try to legitimately do it.
Here’s one of the quotes from Steiner: “June 7th,...

Hulk Hogan‘s life may be in jeopardy, if a threat from former New World Order teammate Scott Steiner is to be believed. TMZ reports that Steiner is under investigation by police in San Jose, California after Hogan filed a report alleging the former WCW and Tna wrestler grabbed his wife, Jennifer, at the airport on March 26 and said he was going to “kill Terry,” which is Hogan’s first name (last name Bollea) for those only familiar with the Hulkster’s ring persona. Hogan reportedly filed a police report the following day after he arrived in town for WrestleMania 31 events,...

Scott Steiner is being investigated for felony terrorist threats against Hulk Hogan, reports TMZ. There are several new details to last week’s report that WWE banned Steiner from the 2015 Hall Of Fame ceremony due to threats that he made to Hogan’s wife.
TMZ states that Steiner grabbed Hogan’s wife Jennifer at San Jose airport and told her that he was planning to “kill Terry” when he arrived. Jennifer apparently didn’t recognise Steiner. She then called Hogan and informed him of the incident.
Hulk didn’t hesitate in catching the next flight to San Jose, where he then proceeded with Jennifer to file a police report against Steiner. An investigation is now underway and authorities have already obtained surveillance footage that shows the former WCW and WWE star confronting Hogan’s wife.

Triple H is one of the most polarising individuals in the WWE. His meteoric rise to becoming one of the most decorated, successful superstars in the history of professional wrestling has divided fans for many years, with some claiming he’s a talented worker and deserves one of the top spots, while others say he’s just been in the right places at the right times. The fact that he married into the McMahon family itself is largely controversial, as Triple H soon found himself being favoured by his WWE-owning in-laws, following the marriage.
One the one hand, there is an element of truth to the claims that he tries to ‘bury’ other talent. Just recently he beat Sting at Wrestlemania 32 when all logic would’ve pointed towards a Sting victory. The same applies to when he beat Booker T at the 19th edition of the show, or...

Scott Steiner was banned from attending the WWE Hall Of Fame 2015 due to an incident with Hulk Hogan’s wife. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that an “ugly incident” occurred between Steiner and Hogan’s wife Jennifer. This was on an airplane and it turned into a huge issue.
WWE decided to take action by banning Steiner from WrestleMania festivities. A photo (which you can see above) was placed at security entrances and event teams were put on alert that should Steiner show up he was not to be allowed in at any WWE events.
The company wanted to avoid any embarrassing scenes. Steiner has a history of temper tantrums, particularly from his WCW days. His heat with Jennifer is unknown, but he infamously had big problems with Kimberly Page in WCW. He has been described as a bully and has proved to have a vicious tongue in shoot statements about the business.

It was a new era for WWE as they headed to the 2003 Royal Rumble event. The Rock wasn’t around on a full time basis anymore although he did return for WrestleMania and Steve Austin controversially walked away for much of 2002 after being upset with the creative direction of the company. Others had to fill the void.
Some people like to refer to this period as the “Ruthless Aggression Era” since “attitude” was gone and they were all about making new stars. It was time for the likes of Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Randy Orton and Batista to step up to the plate as the next group of stars that WWE could build around.
In addition to the Rumble match, Scott Steiner debuting (or returning since he was there about a decade earlier) was considered a big deal just because he was a big name from WCW that they just brought in.

Good always triumphs over evil on WWE programming, but unfortunately that’s not always the case behind-the-scenes, and for every terrific tale we’ve seen unfold, on or off screen, there’s one of woe to even it out.
If you’ve watched wrestling for a good amount of time, you’ve likely encountered a time where you found yourself aghast over something you’ve seen – and not in a ‘how is my hero going to bounce back from this?’ way, but more like an ‘I’m disgusted that someone thought this was a good idea, I’m going to break things to calm myself down’ way.
But with WWE video games you’re given a power to not only make history, but re-write it too, and with WWE 2K15 ushering professional wrestling into a new era of gaming, fans will be in a better position than ever...

The summer heat must be getting to everyone in wrestling this past week. Siblings broke up, an ungodly amount of belly-to-back suplexes were dealt out, and WWE decided we needed even more of Michael Cole by putting him on Main Event too. It was sad and yet strangely comforting all at the same time.
WWE’s second biggest pay-per-view of the year has come and gone, and we now have an extreme part-time champ. Most fans, though, don’t seem to mind as it’s always pleasant to have a break from Cena, the greatest champion of all time! Or so WWE says.
In regards to the Bellas breaking up, Lawler said he’d never seen anything like it. Apparently he never saw Christian turn on Edge (when they were still considered storyline brothers), Scott Steiner turn on Rick, Owen turn on Bret, or Matt Hardy turn on Jeff Hardy.

Any WWE fan exposed to the propaganda-laced documentaries about the fall of WCW, the Nwo and the Monday Night Wars has a fairly warped sense of history, thanks to the very pro-WWE slant those productions tend to take. They talk up the failures to create new stars, the rampant abuse of power, the tremendous egos of those on top and the poor business decisions that ultimately doomed the company and brought about its demise. Less time is spent talking about the rise of the New World Order, the development of Diamond Dallas Page from undercard nobody to legitimate main event star and the unprecedented success of rookie Bill Goldberg.
Never discussed is the fact that WCW utilized some wildly talented individuals far better than WWE when they got their hands on those same competitors. Men such as the aforementioned Goldberg and Page, Lance Storm, Scott Steiner and...

John Cena has enjoyed plenty of moments to show off about in WWE, including 14 world title wins and a main event run which has lasted well over nine years now. Along the way there’s also been some of the most embarrassing moments ever experienced by a WWE superstar…. and when we say embarrassing, we mean the most cringe worthy and disgusting embarrassments you could imagine.
Credit to John, he always takes his mishaps in good humour, he comes across as a guy who is just happy to be out there in a WWE ring. Whereas someone like Randy Orton or Cm Punk has been known to snap in awkward situations, Cena is the kind of guy who sucks it up and stands by the adage “the show must go on.”
That saying proved true in our first entry…

For more than 30 years, the sport of human chess in the squared circle has long been a favorite for video game programmers. There’s been pro-wrestling games on almost every video game system released from 1983′s arcade game “Tag Team Wrestling” (aka The Big Pro Wrestling!”) by Technos Japan to Absolute Entertainment’s “Title Match Pro Wrestling” on the Atari 2600 to the succinctly titled Nes “Pro Wrestling” (A Winner is You!) to exceptionally popular series such as “Fire Pro Wrestling” to modern multi-platform installments in franchises such as “WWE 2K14″.
Counting examples of “real life” wrestlers can be a challenging and subjective process. Should 1985′s Mat Mania “The Golden Hullk” and Super Fire Pro Wrestling Premium X’s “Ax Duggan” count towards Hulk Hogan? Are you counting both computer releases and video game consoles? Scott Steiner is one of the most physically imposing men to ever step inside the squared circle. The former Ncaa Division 1 All American wrestler broke into the business in 1986 under the tutelage of Vince McMahon’s favorite wrestler, Dr, Jerry Graham. His athleticism, physique and innovative style quickly got him noticed and it wasn’t long before he was headed for much bigger things.
After gaining some experience in the territories, he and his brother Rick formed one of the greatest tag teams of all-time. The Steiner Brothers are 11 time World Tag Team Champions and have had classic matches around the world in nearly every major company. However, Scott is perhaps best known for his singles run in the late 90s as Big Poppa Pump.

Batman and Robin, Laurel and Hardy, Jerry Seinfeld and George Costanza. Some people just go together. Or, in the wrestling world: Macho Man and Miss Elizabeth, The Four Horsemen and The Outsiders. These are among of the most classic pairings in history. When you think of someone like Randy Savage, you can’t help but think of his lovely valet. When you think of Arn Anderson, you’ll naturally think of Flair.
But when you think of The Undertaker do you automatically think of his ex-wife Sara? When you talk about Scott Steiner does Stacy Keibler naturally follow next in the conversation? Some people have no business being together in wrestling. This is usually due to the fact that they have no chemistry.
It’s two people that are forced to team up, but only end up being detrimental to each other’s careers.

There’s no denying that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is the most successful wrestler-turned-actor in pro wrestling history: even beyond that, he was named the highest grossing actor of 2013 by Forbes Magazine and as fellow wrestler Scott Steiner would say, the numbers don’t lie.
Though none have been as successful as Johnson, there have been a number of other wrestlers who have found some Hollywood success like “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Steve Austin, Batista and Kevin Nash. And when you think about it, it’s not surprising given the transferrable skills: wrestling in the squared circle and giving macho interviews are all about performance, so it’s not a stretch to think of in-ring experience as acting training.
However, most wrestlers who have attempted Hollywood careers star in movies that probably make less money than the catering budget on one of The Rock’s blockbusters. While...

I have to admit, I am sold on Ryback. This guy is indeed a machine, both in physique and ability. He is without a doubt, barring injury, the future of the WWE. But thanks to the initial push orchestrated by the WWE his whole persona has been reduced to nothing more than a Goldberg clone.
Now although initially in the first few months I would have to agree, it has since become truly annoying (to me at least) to hear the crowd chant Goldberg every time he is in the ring. Like mindless drones or sheep they carry on regardless of how idiotic that chant has now become. For quite simply, Ryback is Nothing like Goldberg.
Now if there was anyone who Ryback reminds me off from back in WCW, it would be Scott Steiner. To a lesser extent I have also been known to compare the man to a young Rhyno.

Ah, the joy of saving six dollars. There’s nothing quite like it. Downloadable content in games has become wildly popular for most titles worth playing over the course of this generation, and despite a few instances of broken promises and shattered dreams, season passes usually stand to save the player at least a little bit of cash. This phenomenon holds true for WWE 2K14 as well.
2K has announced that its wrestling title will recieve “at least” three Dlc packs, all of which will be covered by the $19.99 season pass. The first pack, a $9 bundle slated for a November release, will be all about the Nwo fighters – Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Macho Man (ooh, yeah!!), and Curt Hennig will be included, to name a few. As a kid I used to collect pro wrestler action figures, and I never realized how weird it was to name a wrestling division the “New World Order.

The WCW was a promotion full of misused talent, the older stars kept the younger stars from blossoming into their full potential, However, there are many examples of WCW talent being misused in WWE, such as Dean Malenko, Ultimo Dragon, Scott Steiner and Perry Saturn, who were all misused in Vince McMahon’s company.
Yet despite this, there are a few examples of WCW talent reaching high levels of success in the WWE. So without further ado, I ask you to cast your eye over these WCW success stories.
5. Rey Mysterio
Rey Mysterio made his name in Mexico fighting the likes of Juventud Guerrera and Psicosis in fresh and innovative matches, emerging as the main draw of an influx of Mexican superstars coming over to the States to make a name and some money for themselves. He firstly appeared in Ecw first before making his debut in the WCW, taking...

As fans we’ve seen wrestling go to some extreme measures that led to some epic encounters over the years. From Hell in a Cell to Last Man Standing, there have been many stipulations over the years that push the boundaries of brutality and the human anatomy. But there was only one match that went beyond… The War Games.
No matter where it was placed in schedule, the signature two cage spectacular was always the big draw for WCW. Strange alliances would be made and WrestleWars along with fall brawls would be forged in a team battleground of steel and blood . No Pinfalls. No Disqualifications. It’s just Submission or Surrender.
In the latest WWE DVD release: “War Games: WCW’s Most Notorious Matches” they look back at what happens when there are no other options and wrestling has go to war. I have to admit I was very...
