With all the recent talk about Scream 4, Wes Craven's actual current project, the just completed My Soul to Take (which started life as 25/8) has been a bit forgotten. But thanks to stuntman Manny Siverio's MySpace page, we now know what to expect from the next killer in the Craven pantheon.Frankly, he looks a bit like Rob Zombie's Hellbilly persona, which means he also looks kinda like the hobo Michael Myers from Halloween 2. Maybe it's postmodern. This is Craven after all, directing his first self-written original screenplay since 1994's New Nightmare.Hellbilly (he's not yet been officially named, to the extent that we're not sure who the actor is - is it stuntman Christopher Place, cast as "Ripper"?) is a serial killer, who may or may not still be alive after his reign of terror ended. Sixteen years on, he's back to terminate the seven...

B-d reader Joey M. pointed us over to New York stuntman Manny Siverio's MySpace page where he posted a spoilerific image from behind-the-scenes of Wes Craven's My Soul To Take (formerly 25/8) that features your first look at the killer. Those following Craven on Twitter were treated to updates leading up to the completion of the film, which Rogue will hopefully release in 2010. As legend has it, a notorious serial slayer will return to the sleepy community of Riverdale to finish off the seven children born on the night he purportedly died. But is the slayer really dead, or is he still at large? Or has the mysterious evil personality that once impelled his bloody spree entered the body of an unwary teen, who will now be compelled to do his evil bidding? Max Theirot, Denzel Whitaker, Shareeka Epps, Emily Meade star.

Shock reader Joey pointed us over to the MySpace page for New York based stuntman Manny Siverio who worked on Wes Craven's latest feature film My Soul To Take , formally known as 25/8 . In his photo album, there's a pic of Siverio with the killer from My Soul To Take , our first glimpse at the film's villain besides the details that Craven dropped at this previous news post here . Max Thierot, Denzel Whitaker and Shareeka Epps star in what is Craven's first film that he has written and directed since New Nightmare in the '90s. Thierot plays "Bug," a young man who is possibly being terrorized by his serial killer father sixteen years after his supposed death. We're expecting a trailer from Rogue Pictures shortly!
