Today, Netflix revealed the teaser trailer and announced that Happy Gilmore 2 will arrive on the streaming service on July 25, 2025. The film is a sequel to the Adam Sandler comedy that opened in theaters in February 1996.

The release date for Happy Gilmore 2 may have just been quietly revealed. While Netflix has not officially confirmed the date, the long-awaited sequel will reportedly hit the streamer in July.

According to Deadline, Happy Gilmore 2 will be released on Netflix on July 25, 2025. The release date was mentioned in a Feb. 13 about Happy Gilmore 2 star Conor Sherry that went largely unnoticed by the public for almost a month. As always, until Netflix has officially confirmed the release date, fans should take this release date report with a grain of salt. However, it's worth noting that Deadline's July 2025 release date is several months later than the March/April 2025 release window that professional golfer John Daly, who will appear in the sequel, gave back in September 2024.

Along with their diabetic son Nathan, the couple were forced to flee in the first film as a comet hurtled towards earth, threatening to destroy the planet. In the sequel the family embark on a perilous journey across what’s left of Europe to find a new home.

On Audacy’s 92.3 The Fan, Christopher McDonald, famous for playing Shooter McGavin in Happy Gilmore, talked about his hopes for a sequel. He spills the beans that Sandler’s passed him a script draft for a possible follow-up to Happy Gilmore, hinting at some ripper progress in the story’s journey.

In 2015, The Hollywood Reporter caught up with Dennis Dugan, the bloke who directed Happy Gilmore. They asked him about the chances of a sequel with Adam Sandler. Dugan wasn’t sure, saying, “I can’t see Sandler jumping on board for that, but hey, it’s Hollywood. You never know what might come up.”

Peacock has revealed the official trailer and key art for its new original, Orlando Bloom: To the Edge, which will premiere on the streaming service on April 18, 2024. All three episodes, which have a runtime of 60 minutes, will be available to stream at launch.

The limited adventure docuseries follows celebrated actor and adventure enthusiast Orlando Bloom. In the series, Bloom takes viewers on a thrilling journey of self-discovery as he pushes his limits physically and mentally to reach his personal edge of what is possible.

Through fear-defying adventures and spiritual awareness, Bloom overcomes his fears and learns more about himself while inspiring the audience at home to explore and expand their own limits in everyday life.

Gerard Butler’s long-awaited “Greenland” sequel is finally set to go into production in April, Variety can confirm.

The disaster film, titled “Greenland: Migration,” will see Butler reunite with director Ric Roman Waugh and “Greenland” writer Chris Sparling. “Deadpool” star Morena Baccarin will also return for the sequel.

Sparling has co-written “Greenland: Migration” alongside Mitchell Lafortune.

In “Greenland,” Butler starred as John Garrity, a structural engineer who attempts to flee Atlanta along with his wife Allison (played by Baccarin) and diabetic son Nathan (Roger Dale Floyd) after a comet threatens to destroy the planet. After John, Allison and Nathan are separated, the family struggles to reunite while fragments of the comet rain down on earth, threatening an extinction-level event.

In the sequel, which is set after the comet has decimated earth, the Garrity family are forced to embark on a perilous journey across what’s left of Europe to find a new home.

Gerard Butler (Angel Has Fallen), Morena Baccarin (Deadpool) and director Ric Roman Waugh (Angel Has Fallen) are confirmed to reprise their roles for action sequel Greenland: Migration, which is due to start production in the UK in April.

Scripted TV series based on the Jennifer Lopez film “Hustlers” and the Mila Kunis comedy “Bad Moms” will soon be put into development as part of a new distribution agreement between STXfilms and Lionsgate, the companies announced Wednesday.

STXfilms, which released “Hustlers” from 2019 and “Bad Moms” from 2016 along with its sequel “A Bad Moms Christmas” in 2017, are just two of the 75-library titles under which Lionsgate will now handle marketing and distribution. It also means Lionsgate will theatrically domestically distribute new STXfilms releases.

The first film to be released under the new deal is “The Marsh King’s Daughter,” a thriller starring Daisy Ridley and directed by Neil Burger. Lionsgate will now jointly release the film with Roadside Attractions on October 6.

Nothing is in the works just yet on the “Hustlers” or “Bad Moms” front, and it’s unclear if any of the original cast or crew from either movie will...

Exclusive: We first told you about a year ago that Lionsgate was in talks with STX to distribute and market the Bob Simonds-run studio’s movies, and today we can report that both companies have closed a deal.

Under the pact, Lionsgate will handle marketing and distribution for future STX theatrical releases in North America as well as distribute STX’s 75-title library across all platforms. The first title to be released will be Neil Burger’s thriller, The Marsh King’s Daughter, under Lionsgate’s Roadside Attractions on Oct. 6.

The two studios are currently looking at several co-productions for 2024; and it is anticipated they will work together on the Gerard Butler sequel Greenland 2, which will be dated for theatrical release.

In addition, STX and Lionsgate are also planning on developing several scripted television series based on some of the most popular titles in the STX library, including Bad Moms and Hustlers.

The CW’s announced the 21 FBoys and Nice Guys who’ll be attempting to woo former Bachelorette Katie Thurston, model Hali Okeowo, and swimwear brand founder Daniella Grace on FBoy Island season three. The network picked up FBoy Island for season three after HBO Max chose not to renew the reality dating series, with the new season set to join the fall primetime lineup on October 12, 2023.

The two-hour premiere debuts at 8pm Et/Pt, with new season three episodes airing on Thursdays.

Thurston, Okeowo, and Grace will spend the season attempting to sort out who’s a good guy and who’s just there for the cash. Among the men competing on the new season are a Chippendales dancer, a fitness coach, an opera singer, a lawyer, and a part of twins.

Neon is climbing into the passenger seat of Michael Mann’s Ferrari, a new film from the celebrated director starring Adam Driver and Penélope Cruz. Ferrari looks to premiere at the Venice Film Festival at the end of August, with Neon acquiring the rights in North America in a competitive situation. According to Deadline, Ferrari is racing into theaters on Christmas Day 2023. STX Entertainment, who helped get the film onto the pavement, is actively involved with all the Neon negotiations (which are still being determined as of this posting). STX set up and provided most of the financing to produce the movie. The movie is expected to make its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival. It is one of the most eagerly awaited films of the movie-awards season, and Neon will be a strong driver for the picture.
