Tyler Silvers is an American actor and writer, known for playing the title character as well as creating and executive producing the acclaimed comedy series Becoming Jiff (2018) from Samuel Goldwyn Films on Amazon Prime Video. BuzzFeed called the series "A funny, sweet, and highly binge-able comedy," Flaunt Magazine said "If you're looking for proof that the film and TV industry in New York City has a bright future, look no further than Tyler Silvers," The Film Stage compared him and his collaborator/brother Forrest Silvers to Judd Apatow calling them "Talented emerging writer-directors... Here to take up the comedy mantle," and Stage 32 has called them "The Best New Comedy Filmmakers." The series was included in the 2019 Primetime Emmy® Award Shortlist for Best Short Form Comedy or Drama Series.
Prior credits include playing Duke in One Fall (2016) (named a "Most Popular" watch on Netflix), voicing a character in the animated series Ziggy Giggleman which was created and directed by Owen Kline (director of A24's Funny Pages (2022)), as well as several short films including Time Is on My Side (2012) which premiered at the Anthology Film Archives. He has been published as a writer in HuffPost, Stage 32, and was the Founder and Editor-In-Chief on Athlete Magazine (which became one of the top high school sports magazines in New York City).
He is the host of the podcast Quadruple Overtime, which features writers and comedians from Saturday Night Live (1975), Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (2014), The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (2014), and many others.
