In the meantime, we have some awesome new variant covers which will be released in comic book stores between May and July. Created by artists Frank Quitely, Jim Lee, Jorge Jimenez, Dan Mora, Nicola Scott, Dan Jurgens, and Jerry Ordway, they all depict the Dcu's Man of Steel, played by David Corenswet.

With Superman taking inspiration from Grant Morrison and Quitely's All-Star Superman series, it's undeniably awesome to see his take on the latest actor to bring this hero to life on screen.

During a recent interview, Corenswet made it clear he's well aware of the pressure a role like Superman brings.

Wonder Woman has a long history as a well-respected leader and princess to her Amazonian sisters, with the island of Themyscira having an even richer backstory that stretches back centuries. Updating and expanding Amazonian lore over the years to bolster Diana Prince’s ever-evolving status as a DC Comics icon, the writer of one of the most influential and successful Wonder Woman stories of all time has hinted that her series may actually not be over, a hopeful wish that may come to pass sooner rather than later.

So it’s only fitting that DeConnick and López’s first work together in years has an origin story dating back to the March 2019 premiere of the movie adaptation.
