- Pugh Rogefeldt is a Swedish singer, guitarist and songwriter.
- In the 1970s, he toured with this band Rainrock, together with Ola Magnell and Janne Lucas Persson. A live double LP was released from this tour, entitled Ett steg till.
- Unlike most other Swedish pop musicians who wanted to achieve international success, he sang in Swedish. One song which is commonly associated with Rogefeldt is "Små lätta moln".
- In the early 1990s, he was also a member of Grymlings, alongside Göran Lagerberg, Mikael Rickfors and Magnus Lindberg.
- Rogefeldt made his breakthrough in the late 1960s with albums such as Ja, dä ä dä and Pughish.
- Pugh Rogefeldt was awarded the 2019 Cornelis Vreeswijk scholarship , SEK 750,000.
- The first time he noticed symptoms from the disease CBD was before a gig at Cirkus in Stockholm in 2019, when Pugh Rogefeldt would celebrate 50 years as an artist. Due to sensations in his hand, guitarist Rogefeldt was unable to play his instrument during the concert evening.
- In December 2021, Pugh Rogefeldt announced that he was ending his music career. The reason was that he suffered from the incurable nerve disease corticobasal degeneration, CBD. It is a disease that, among other things, can affect functions such as the ability to swallow, speech, memory and balance.
- As an adult, he worked as a painter and alongside this he dabbled in music. He recorded his songs on a Tandberg tape recorder. He selected three of these which he sent to various record companies. The only thing that got in touch was Metronome , whose producer Anders Burman announced that they wanted to record an album immediately. Rogefeldt was doing military service in Strängnäs at the time and was denied permission to make the recording. This led to Rogefeldt escaping from the military with the penalty of being sentenced to three months in prison (which he served after the release of the debut album).
- He has, directly and indirectly, influenced all rock in Swedish - like Håkan Hellström and Lars Winnerbäck. They may not have even listened to him, but they have been influenced by those influenced by Pugh.
