In autumn 2006, she broke her hip, requiring some of her shots had to be filmed sitting down on Scrubs: Die Anfänger (2001). This is most noticeable in the episode My Musical (2007), where she was filmed sitting during most of the episode, except with the song "Dominican", which was filmed five weeks later than the rest of the show when she had fully healed.

Has a daughter, Leila Rey Valencia (b. November 27, 2009), with her boyfriend George Valencia.
