His 1915 novel "Quaderni di Serafino Gubbio, operatore", is credited as
being the first novel by a major writer dealing with the world of
movies and moviemaking (the main character is an 'operatore', a
cameraman).
His play, Absolutely! (Perhaps), was adapted by Martin Sherman in a new
version and performed at the Wyndham Theatre and was nominated for a
2004 Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for Best Revival of 2003.
