Lou Piniella was known as one of the most durable outfielders in the
1970s. His major league career lasted fro 1964-1984 primarily with
Kansas City and later with the New York Yankees. After retirement, Lou
moved into management. He managed the New York Yankees for 3 seasons,
the Cincinnati Reds for another 3 seasons, eventually leading the 1990
Reds to a World Series Championship. Lou then managed the Seattle
Mariners for 10 seasons, including a record breaking 116 win season in
2001. He is now managing the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
Dyed his hair blonde in July 2003, after he promised his team he would
if they would win 3 games in a row for the first time that season.
