    • Tedd Pierce was born on August 12, 1906 in Quogue, New York, USA. He was a writer and actor, known for Gulliver's Travels (1939), The Jim Backus Show (1960) and Super-Rabbit (1943). He was married to Wanda E. Reeves and Clarice Dorothy Tourelle. He died on February 19, 1972.

Trivia

  • Said to have added a second "D" to his first name in the late 1930s in order to correct the imbalance created when puppeteer Bil Baird took the second "L" off his name.
  • His personal habits (especially late-night partying and coming to work hung-over) gave rise to Chuck Jones lampooning Pierce by creating the character of Pepe Le Pew.
  • In 1936, he served as president of an animator's union (mainly in protest to poor salaries) which held secret meetings at the El Coyote restaurant on Melrose Boulevard.
  • Writer and voice actor who worked in McKimson's unit at Warner Brothers (Looney Tunes).
