Jimmy Ray Pickens has made a career in the film industry for 27 years,
both as an actor and in film transportation. After graduating high
school in 1984, he studied acting at Chris Wilson's Studio for Actors,
in his hometown of Houston, Texas. A fellow acting student helped Jimmy
Ray acquire a job on a movie set where his attention for detail was
quickly recognized by the Transportation Department. He began working
on his first film: "Pray for Death", as a driver. In 1985, he landed
his first role Taylor in "Houston: The Legend of Texas", starring Sam
Elliott. His role as Cameron in "The Locusts" caught the attention of
director Stephen Spielberg. Whether in front of the camera or behind,
Jimmy Ray has played a integral part in many films, including "Alice in
Wonderland", starring Johnny Depp, "Hannah Montana: The Movie",
starring Miley Cyrus, "The Amazing Spider-Man", and "G. I. Joe 2:
Retaliation". Jimmy Ray and his wife of 23 years, Denice, currently
reside in Thousand Oaks, California. They have 4 children and 2
grandchildren.
