Skeletons emerge from many a closet in this legal thriller based on the novel by Richard North Patterson. Dermot Mulroney plays Tony Lord, a high-flying attorney who returns to his home town to defend a teacher friend accused of murdering a student. He's certainly got his work cut out as the accused was having an affair with the teenage victim - and she was pregnant.

Richard North Patterson's legal drama 'Silent Witness' is coming to life on the small screen for TNT's ongoing Mystery Movie Night series (premieres Wed., Dec. 7, 9Pm Et on TNT).
The movie stars Dermot Mulroney as a defense attorney called back home to defend his old friend (played by 'Southland' star Michael Cudlitz), a teacher who's being accused of murdering a student. There's mystery, suspense and some major courtroom action, not to mention the awesome cast -- Judd Hirsch and Anne Heche also star.
And, in our exclusive sneak peek, there's thunder, lightning and a frightening death. Oh and Dermot Mulroney shirtless. Take a look and tell us: Will you watch 'Silent Witness'?

News and notes from upfront week, including items from Adult Swim, Univision and more ...
- Tyra Banks took the stage at The CW's upfront Thursday to tease the upcoming all-star cycle of "America's Next Top Model," and also to proclaim that there would be no more "normal" seasons of the show. She didn't elaborate, and CW executives weren't completely sure what she meant, but they guessed you'll see more stunts like the all-stars and the all-shorties cycle from last season. Memo to Tyra: It's about time for an all-plus-size season, is it not?
- Adult Swim has added a handful of new shows to its lineup for the coming year. We're most curious to see "Ntsf: Sd: SUV," a parody of cop shows created by Paul Scheer that premieres this summer; and "The Heart, She Holler," a live-action soap about a town "so inbred, the folks have become almost supernaturally wrong.

It looks like Andy Richter will be stepping from behind the podium on Conan to another podium (I am guessing) for a new game show on TBS entitled Pyramid. The show is reportedly a modern-day take on the iconic game show that began asThe $10,000 Pyramid.
I really enjoye watching Men of A Certain Age, and highly recommend it. The new shows don't really catch my interest yet, aside from Pyramid. Check out the full lineup below and share your thoughts on what shows you are most interested in seeing.

Following months of speculation, TNT formally announced on Wednesday morning its plan to follow The Closer‘s upcoming seventh and final season with a spin-off series titled Major Crimes. Anonymous has been at it again. Following Primary Colors's version of Clinton comes O: A Presidential Novel. Mark Lawson on the tradition of insider political fiction, from Disraeli to The West Wing. A preview from tomorrow's Guardian Review.
Also in tomorrow's Review: Composer Mark-Anthony Turnage on why Anna Nicole Smith is a true operatic heroine, Andrea Levy on why she wrote Small Island, Stefan Collini in praise of Eric Hobsbawm and Sarah Churchwell on the scandalous Lillian Hellman
A successful political career demands a tradeoff between fame and anonymity. A leader needs to be known – an Obama, Blair or Clinton has the global recognisability of a rock star – but high-level politics also frequently depends on the exercise of secrecy. The unattributable briefing ("a party insider, speaking on condition of anonymity", "a source travelling with the prime minister") is a standard tool of political journalism, offering an early first...
