With Star Wars Rebels turning ten this year, we've had a decade's worth of stellar performances from Lucasfilm Animation. From the return of The Clone Wars to the newest outing from the Lego Star Wars miniseries Rebuild the Galaxy, let's dive into which voice actors brought out the best performances.
My picks are based on the entire run of a show, season, or miniseries. A guest spot on a single episode won't count. The only exception would be Star Wars: Visions being a series of shorts. Who gave a solid performance from the beginning to the end of their respective show.
In no particular order, here are the 16 best performances from Lucasfilm Animation in the last 10 years.

In 2010, AMC Networks premiered The Walking Dead, an apocalyptic series that aired for 12 years across 11 seasons. Based on the comics created by Robert Kirkman, the series became wildly popular, beyond what anyone could have imagined, and has inspired other series within the genre.
The Walking Dead has been praised for its earliest and final seasons, with mixed reviews for its seventh and eighth seasons. While it is set in an undead apocalypse, the stories revolve around the survivors and their experiences after the outbreak occurred. Many viewers note this is why the series became so popular.
Long-standing cast members for the series include Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Chandler Riggs, Melissa McBride, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Josh McDermitt, Christian Serratos, Seth Gilliam, Ross Marquand, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Several of these characters' stories have continued in the long line of spinoffs of the main series. Let's check out some...

Ever since "The Big Bang Theory" ended back in 2019, fans of the CBS sitcom have frequently wondered if stars Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kunal Nayyar, Simon Helberg, and Kaley Cuoco might ever come back to the roles that made them famous. Some, like Parsons, have — he's played the oldest possible version of Sheldon Cooper on the first spin-off of "The Big Bang Theory," the prequel series "Young Sheldon" — but Cuoco hasn't played Penny Hofstadter since the series finale of the original show. So, what did she tell People Magazine when they asked if she'd be willing to step back into Penny's shoes?
Apparently, Cuoco is totally down to play Penny again. "I spent 12 years playing that role, and it really set off my career," Cuoco told the outlet in an exclusive chat. "I owe a lot to that character, to that show, to [creator] Chuck Lorre," she added. "It was some...

Apple TV+’s post-apocalyptic science fiction series Silo (read our 8/10 review Here) is based on a series of stories written by author Hugh Howey. It started with a short story called Wool, and at one point the plan was to call the Apple TV+ series Wool as well. There’s plenty of Howey stories to continue pulling inspiration from is Silo has a multiple season run: Holston, Proper Gauge, Casting Off, The Stranded, Legacy, Order, Pact, and Dust... with more to come. We’ll get to see more of this Howey-inspired story play out when Silo season 2 begins airing on November 15th – and with that date just one month away, a trailer for the new episodes has arrived online. You can check it out in the embed above.
Silo follows the last 10,000 people on Earth as they navigate life in their mile-deep underground home protecting them from the toxic outside world.

It looks like the Yellowstone story is far from finished. Nearly four months after the production company announced that Season 5—the final season of the critically acclaimed Paramount Network series—was weeks away, reports suggest a sixth season might happen.
Deadline and Puck, who were first to report the news, say Cole Hauser (Rip Wheeler) and Kelly Reilly (Beth Dutton) are in talks to headline the new season of the Taylor Sheridan-created series.
Kevin Costner’s – Departure And Potential Season 6
The possible extension comes as the show moves forward without its longtime star, Kevin Costner.
News broke in June that Costner, who had played John Dutton, would not return for the remainder of season 5 after rumors of his departure swirled. When contacted by People, a Paramount representative declined to comment.
Yellowstone began as a cable series in 2018 on the Paramount Network, and it is now also streamable on Peacock.

With the release of Deadpool & Wolverine, Kevin Feige has announced the start of the mutant era in the MCU. While some X-Men and mutants have already appeared in MCU projects, the upcoming X-Men live-action reboot will introduce an entirely new cast.
Professor X was previously portrayed by Patrick Stewart in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but this was an alternate variant, an Illuminati member who ultimately meets his end at the hands of Scarlet Witch.
Patrick Stewart was never intended to be the main Charles Xavier for the MCU, just as John Krasinski was not meant to be the MCU’s Mr. Fantastic. As a result, fans have been suggesting various actors for the role in future projects. With Marvel’s recent emphasis on inclusion, some of the actors proposed for the role are Black, such as David Oyelowo and Courtney B. Vance.

Netflix has narrowed the gap between the big and the small screen. The streaming giant does not shy away from investing money in ambitious projects, to give the audience a memorable visual experience, without heading out of their homes.

Earlier this year, "Selma" star David Oyelowo celebrated the 10th anniversary of Ava DuVernay's Civil Rights drama by recounting something that one of the film's executive producers -- a fellow named Brad Pitt -- had told him a decade ago. As Oyelowo recalled to Deadline, he was miffed about the movie's so-so box office gross and the fact that it only snagged a pair of Oscar nods, feeling -- correctly! -- that it deserved better. Pitt, in response, told the actor not to worry, assuring him he wouldn't know "what your film is" for another 10 years.
Pitt was correct; far from being forgotten, "Selma" is now justly regarded as a modern classic, with Oyelowo's performance having come to be seen as perhaps the definitive portrayal of Martin Luther King Jr. onscreen. Certainly streaming, for all of its failings, played a key role in bringing a film like "Selma" the audience it deserves.

Daniel Craig co-starred in Othello on stage a few years back – and his James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli is helping bring it to the screen.
Although Daniel Craig may no longer be James Bond, he’s retained a strong working relationship with Eon producer Barbara Broccoli, steward of the 007 series. The duo have spent quite some time now looking for funding to produce what is being dubbed as Daniel Craig’s ‘dream project’ – a modern adaptation of Shakespeare’s Othello set in an American military barracks in Iraq.
Daniel Craig starred in an off-Broadway production of the play several years ago, playing Iago, while David Oyelowo played the titular Othello. The show received excellent reviews and Craig and Broccoli have reportedly spent the last two years trying to find funding to adapt that version of the play (which was directed by Sam Gold) into a feature film.

Juliette Lewis and Peter Dinklage hope to continue their respective career highs with the upcoming Western novel adaptation “The Thicket.”
Lewis, who reigned over 2022 TV with “Yellowjackets,” “Queer as Folk,” and “Welcome to Chippendales,” plays an assassin who is tracked by a bounty hunter, portrayed by Dinklage. The actor is next set to star in the buzzy musical film “Wicked” after a slew of recent film roles including “She Came to Me,” “Cyrano,” “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes,” and Jerry Seinfeld’s directorial debut “Unfrosted.”
The official synopsis for “The Thicket” reads: When fierce bounty hunter Reginald Jones (Dinklage) is recruited by a desperate man to track down a ruthless killer known only as Cutthroat Bill (Lewis), he rallies a band of unlikely heroes including a grave-digging ex-slave and a street-smart woman-for-hire. Like horror, science fiction lends itself well to serialization. Fans of the genre love the chance to explore fantastical worlds far from our own, and once storytellers have developed a brand-new universe, those fans love having a reason to come back. From "Star Trek" to "Star Wars" (which are quite similar), from "The Terminator" to "The Thing," sci-fi franchises can spawn from anything given a strong enough premise.
Moviemaking takes time, though, and we also live in a world where projects are announced many years in advance. This can all make it frustrating to be a fan of sci-fi, often having to wait years to be able to return to a series that you love, even though new installments are constantly dangled over your head. While we're waiting for the next great sci-fi original to spark a new franchise, we've rounded up some of the sci-fi sequels that we simply...

With fewer eligible series — a consequence of both last year’s strikes and of a general post-Peak TV contraction — it seemed unlikely that the Emmys (the second such ceremony this year!) would provide much in the way of surprises.
Perhaps, though, awards-watchers shouldn’t have counted them out.
Wednesday morning’s nominations announcement featured at least one major contender (Emma Stone in “The Curse”) shut out, and included heartening and unexpected recognition for other stars whose names hadn’t been part of the conversation to this point. (Congratulations to Idris Elba and Matt Berry!)
In all, the Emmy nominations depict an industry in rapid transition — relatively few returning series made the cut. But nowhere was the competition more pitched, and the volume of surprise omissions as high, as in the limited series field. (Read the full list of nominees here.)

Once again, the Emmy Awards nominations don’t include a slew of TV favorites. Among the most notable snubs: Emma Stone for Best Drama Actress and a complete shutout of her Showtime series “The Curse.” Equally surprising was “Shogun” supporting actresses Moeka Hoshi and Fumi Nikaido missing the ballot. On the comedy side, Netflix’s “The Gentlemen” missed for Comedy Series and a forecasted bid for its star Theo James. And although “The Bear” had a solid morning overall, Abby Elliott wasn’t able to ride the wave of fortune in Best Comedy Supporting Actress. Oliver Platt and Matty Matheson were also snubbed on the Supporting Actor side.
Below, we enumerate the top 50 Emmys snubs in our estimation. These were the shows and performers that we thought had a strong chance to number among this year’s nominees. Let us know if there are others missing from this list that...

As this morning’s Emmy nominations prove, there may be less TV being made nowadays, but the quality certainly hasn’t declined with the quantity.
As widely expected, The Bear, Baby Reindeer, True Detective: Night Country and Shōgun were mentioned more than once by past Emmy winners Sheryl Lee Ralph and Tony Hale on Wednesday morning. As Television Academy Chair Cris Abrego said, “it was an exceptional year in television.” It certainly seemed exceptional that, for the first time in a long while, the names Succession and Ted Lasso were not heard when the nominations were read, as those multiple winners have wrapped up their runs.

Glen Powell wasn’t supposed to be showing off his body in “Twisters,” but then came the rain, as director Lee Isaac Chung decided at the last minute that Powell should be seen in the natural disaster movie in a wet white T-shirt.
“That was Isaac’s idea,” Powell told me Thursday at the film’s Los Angeles premiere. “I did have a jacket in that scene. He said, ‘I think we’re going to toss the jacket out.’ I was like, ‘Cool.’ And he goes, ‘Also, there’s going to be a rain machine.’ I was like, ‘Ok.’ But then I was like, ‘Wait a minute.’”

Zac Efron and Nicole Kidman‘s new movie made quite the first impression.
The actors explained that their new Netflix romantic comedy A Family Affair originally “had a different title,” which immediately caught their attention when they dived into the script.
“It was called Motherf—er,” Efron told People, as Kidman clarified, “Beeped out.”
“Somehow that didn’t make it onto the Netflix title,” she added.
Efron admitted, “That made the script stay at the top of the pile. It’s like, what on Earth could this be about?”

Jonathan Majors broke down in tears while accepting the Perseverance Award at the Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards on Friday, telling the audience that he at times felt scared but he found strength to press through even as he was accused – and found guilty – of assault and harassment last year.
Appearing at the annual event, Jonathan Majors’s stated, in part, “I didn’t feel like Jonathan Majors, Mr. Creed, Mr. Kang; I felt like a little scared, weak boy, despite the support and evidence that was in my favor, I knew shit was bad. And it was bad because of who I was and what I am. This is what happens to Black people all too often.” He added, “I am just a man, an imperfect man who loves his craft, and whose faith has been tested and then strengthened by his testimony. There will be moments in your life where things get dark,...

Jonathan Majors was once on track to become Hollywood's next big thing, only for that to be derailed when he was convicted of domestic assault and harassment following an altercation with his then-girlfriend.
A New York judge decided that the Loki and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania star must complete a 52-week, in-person program in Los Angeles, but whether his career can ever rebound is another matter altogether.
He was recently cast in Martin Villeneuve's Merciless and we've heard rumblings that Magazine Dreams (which many believed would secure him an Oscar) will finally secure a release this summer. And, yesterday evening, Majors was honoured with the "Perseverance Award" at the annual Impact Awards.
"I'm imperfect. I have shortcomings - I acknowledge them," the actor said while fighting back tears in a lengthy acceptance speech which you can watch below. "Perseverance means what? Perseverance means persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay.

“I reckon folks want to know about the last year,” Jonathan Majors began at the Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards on Friday, where he was honored with the Perseverance Award, before beginning a tear-filled, 17-minute long speech about his much-publicized trial and misdemeanor conviction for domestic assault in April.
“As a Black man in the criminal justice system, I felt anger, I felt sadness, hurt, surprise. When they snatched me up out of my apartment in handcuffs, I didn’t feel like all that,” the actor said, gesturing to the screen that had just played a highlight reel of his onscreen performances. “I didn’t feel like Jonathan Majors, Mr. Creed, Mr. Kang; I felt like a little scared, weak boy, despite the support and evidence that was in my favor, I knew shit was bad. Just six months ago, Jonathan Majors was convicted of domestic assault and harassment, but that didn’t stop the Hollywood Unlocked from honoring him with the Perseverance Award at the annual Impact Awards on Friday night in Beverly Hills.
“I’m imperfect. I have shortcomings — I acknowledge them,” Majors said, fighting tears his during lengthy remarks after being presented with the award by self-help guru and inspirational speaker Iyanla Vanzant.
It was an emotional moment for the actor, who took the stage following a sizzle reel that captured some of the “Creed III” and “Lovecraft Country” star’s career highs and personal lows, but he was greeted with a standing ovation from the starry crowd, led by Hollywood Unlocked founder Jason Lee.
Majors continuously denied all allegations throughout his 19-day trial, but in April, he was sentenced to one year of domestic violence counseling. Per the ruling of a NY judge,...

Welcome to Emmy Experts Typing, a weekly column in which Gold Derby editors and Experts Joyce Eng and Christopher Rosen discuss the Emmy race — via Slack, of course. This week, we discuss the limited field, where the lead categories went down to five slots.
Christopher Rosen: Hello, Joyce! As Emmy voting continues, what better time than now to look again at the limited series race? This one got a lot more interesting once “Shōgun” exited the premises, and then again last week when it was revealed there would only be five nominees in the lead actor and actress races due to a shortage of submissions. We updated our Emmy predictions this week — I apologize again to those angered Selenators, many of whom directed their ire toward my Twitter mentions after I dropped her from my picks — and differed on where the Best Limited/TV Movie Actress contest might land. Like most,...
