"Buffy The Vampire Slayer" season 4 is one of the show's more contested runs, but episode 10, "Hush," is a fan-favorite. When silent, grinning demons called the Gentlemen come to Sunnydale and rob the characters of their voices, the series makes a rare turn into outright horror.
Series creator (and controversial figure) Joss Whedon, who personally wrote and directed "Hush," recounted in the episode's DVD commentary that he wanted to test himself as a visual storyteller. He felt the visuals in "Buffy" had become too functional; the dialogue was guiding the storytelling to simple shot/reverse shot techniques. The obvious way to break up this monotony was to make an episode with little dialogue.
"Hush" forces the characters to find new ways of communicating and the story to deliver information without language. Looking at his career wholistically, Whedon never really outgrew using his dialogue as a crutch, but even he acknowledges: "It...

Non-stop flatulence, a dead possum, and being too darn sexy. Are these the most ridiculous I'm a Celebrity fights in the history of the jungle?
After Croc campmates Melanie Sykes and Vicki Michelle bickered over a pencil in last night's show (November 26), we reminisce over some of the silliest spats over the years.
From Brian Harvey's continual wind to Darren Day being too darn sexy - here are 10 absurd jungle rumbles:
1. Darren Day's too sexy for the jungle?
Sizzling sexual chemistry or far too much flatulence? It was almost impossible to keep up with Darren Day and Tara Palmer-Tomkinson's love/hate relationship in the 2002 series.
Palmer-Tomkinson shocked the entire nation as she revealed the root of their tension was all down to Day's unbridled sexiness, shouting: "I'll tell you why I am very uptight. It's because I think you are so f**king sexy."

Phina Oruche has admitted that she felt "rejected" when she discovered that the Sharpe family had been dropped from Hollyoaks. The actress's character Gabby Sharpe and her two children Taylor (Shaun Blackstock) and Amber (Lydia Lloyd Henry) made abrupt departures from the village shortly before Christmas. Show bosses later confirmed that there were "no immediate plans" to reintroduce the clan, who had been on screen for six months. Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Oruche commented: "I was working every single day - I did 40 episodes and we were really going for it, but then it suddenly stopped and somehow I feel we were rejected. The four-member Sharpe clan - consisting of Gabby (Phina Oruche), Phil (Andonis Anthony), Taylor (Shaun Blackstock) and Amber (Lydia Lloyd-Henry) - were introduced to the show last summer as part of former producer Paul Marquess's rejuvenation of the programme. However, shortly before Christmas fans saw the family's storylines reach an abrupt end before they departed the village. Since then, the fallout of Amber's teen pregnancy plot has been resolved with the foursome remaining offscreen. A Hollyoaks spokesperson told Digital Spy today: "There are no immediate plans to bring the Sharpe family back into the show following their recent departure." Paloma Faith has admitted that she would love to judge on ITV’s X Factor.
The “Stone Cold Sober” singer recently tweeted that she’d like a job on the talent show, writing:
“I want to guest judge The X Factor!!!! Pleeeeeeeeeease Mr Cowell please!”
She later told Pa:
“I’ve tweeted that I’d like to be a guest judge on The X Factor, which I don’t think is likely, but I just think it would be nice for them to have someone who’s got something interesting to say on there,” she said.
Faith is currently backing the BT Digital Music Awards and she admits that the music business is finally coming to terms with the digital situation. She added:
“I think initially, the record industry struggled a lot with digital media because there a lot of aspects to it that can potentially destroy our industry, for example torrents and illegal downloading.
